Musically Inclined

Bad Santa was better than you'd think. It had a black heart to it.

Today I went on lyrics.com and discovered what the real words are to most of David Bowie's big hits. I'm gettin' ready for karoake! I discovered I can do my version of the high notes in Under Pressure (not that I can sing as well or hold 'notes' as long as Freddie Mercury, hello!) and Golden Years. I also like singing Let's Dance, and Ashes to Ashes.

I'm listening to the free mix cd that Rolling Stone included in their Top 500 Albums of All Time. Note: this was voted on by Britney Spears, The Strokes and a two hundred other people I don't know or care about. Which means, nothing I like is on there (well, one Sinead O'Connor cd). And, hello!, does EVERY SINGLE Eric Clapton or Neil Young or Bob Dylan or Beattles album HAVE to be on this list? Three quarters of the list were recorded before 1980, and what the hell is TLC and every single Eminem cd doing on there? Anyway, I just learned what Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis sound like.
