Josh, Liz and I got invited to a big ol' Oscar party, with a Little Miss Sunshine Beauty Pageant theme. Everyone got to dress up and represent a part of Seattle, and show a 'talent' and such. It was at a local theater with a big ol' projection screen for the Awards.
Josh went as Miss University Dist., Liz as Kitty Kirkland, and Anna Rexia, who's bad at themes, was Miss Landing Strip. Anyway, Josh started out as a Geisha performing to traditional music. Then, we used party poppers to make his hands explode. The music switched to 'What You Waiting For?' by Gwen Stefani. Anna lip synced the words, while Kitty helped her work the crowd, coming together to do the chorus together. Miss U did a Geisha strip tease with a billion layers, and eventually she exploded these confetti wands, and Anna ran through the aisle. Then, Kitty and Anna circled and struck poses around a fan-weilding Miss U, Anna yanking her dress up past her navel at one point, and eventually all three bowed like Geishas as the song ended. It was our tribute to Memoirs of a Geisha and patronizing pop stars!
We changed into our evening gowns and multiple people asked for encores! We kinda figured no one would want to talk to us afterwards! :-) So, it was a fun night all and all. And Anna got to squeal for Ben Affleck, so there ya go...
