My weekend was fun. I ran into peeps going to a party after work on Friday. I was actually supposed to be going to another party and then to see Seven Strangers, a play in a real house that's supposed to be good.
I ended up losing at arm wrestling to 3 guys! (so, yeah, I had fun!)
Saturday, we dressed up 70s style for Piledriver! at CHAC. Lolli Popular went as a She-Hulk wrestler, and I did a pimped out Austin Powers kinda deal. It's always weird to be the non-drag person! We met up with several Capitol Hill Highers, like Dirty Bunny, in 70s get-ups.
The audience loosened up with us being VERY vocal. And the cast loved us. Randy Rage signed Lolli's chest in Sharpie, and gave me high fives! The play, a homoerotic wrestling play, was even better cast and produced than at Re-Bar. It was a blast. Hopefully people will go this upcoming weekend. It's a total shame this play isn't getting the audiences it deserves.
I mean: ANAL SEX ONSTAGE! HOMO HEAD ONSTAGE! WRESTLING! CHICK WRESTLER! Like, what more can I say?
In the CHAC lounge, I played foozball and afterwards my bicep HURT! (from all the arm wrestling the night before) But, I forgot about all that when we did karoake at Bush Gardens in the In't'r'n't'n'l Dist. I did Heart's 'These Dreams', on request I did Tracy Bonham's 'Mother Mother' (the host barely kept himself from turning down the volume), and three of us backed up our director, Dan D, as he did his most comprehensive karoake performance yet: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". We did the high parts and all that in the background.
