BATTLEWORLD: Arachnia, Wednesday evening

Jessica
After what felt like forever (but was probably only an hour, maybe), Jessica felt she had gotten far enough that she at least wouldn't be found right away. She climbed a ladder, lifted a manhole cover, and slid out into the street and to an alley as quickly as she could. The rain was still coming down hard so best bet was the Thor was still around somewhere. But maybe it would also wash off some of the sewer smell that was clinging to her.

One Jessica was confident she was safe, she just had to figure out where to go from here now that her compass, map, portal device, and everything else were destroyed. Out of the alley would be the obvious first step.

Spider-Gwen
Spider-Woman could see her movements from her vantage point, and made her way over. So while hanging from the wall in the alley, she said, "You know sneaking between sewers and alleys might look a little suspicious."

Jessica
"That's only because you were unhelpful and saw me," Jessica said, crawling up the wall casually. "You could help a fellow Spider-Lady out to make up for that, though."

Spider-Gwen
Well... okay, that was unexpected.

"We might have to talk about this 'fellow Spider-Lady' thing," she said suspiciously, tilting her head.

Jessica
"If we do, it should be a fast talk. I'm trying to get north before a big dog guy finds me. Any idea which way that is?" Jessica checked.

Spider-Gwen
"Depends. Why're you running from the big dog guy?" These were questions that needed to be asked.

Jessica
"Because I'm not from this domain and my presence here is an offense to God," Jessica said with a shrug. "I mean, what else could it be? Thing is, I don't want to be here either, so I'm trying to get to the next domain without being lightninged. So, what do you think? Point me in the right direction?"

Spider-Gwen
"So far you're a Spider-Affront To God Doom who's running from a Thor trying to cross the border," Spider-Woman said. "Not really giving me a lot to want to help you here."

Jessica
"Yeah, but the Thor's the only one who killed someone," Jessica said. "Did you hear about the house that got blown up with lightning? I'm not the one who decided that would be a nice way to say hello."

Spider-Gwen
"Why should I believe you? Could've been the weather." She wasn't entirely convinced of that, but now she wanted to head over to the house after she figured out what to do here.

Jessica
"Yeah, it was the weather. The weather that was created by a big Thor Dog Guy," Jessica said. "Look, I'm not asking for much. Just point me in the right direction, I'll be on my way. From that point on, whether I make it to the next place or a viking dog beats me to death with a hammer, it won't be on you. And maybe it'll happen away from all these people and no other houses get struck by lightning. It's a win-win."

Spider-Gwen
Spider-Woman wasn't sure she trusted her. But the chances that a Thor had blown up a house and killed someone was something she neededto check out. If it wasn't true, she could come back for Jessica. She knew which direction she was pointing her in, after all.

"That way," Gwen said with a nod in the right direction. "Stay out of trouble, I've got enough going on tonight."

Jessica
Jessica shot a webline out of the alley. "I'll do what I can. And thanks," Jessica said, swinging out and catching another line to turn north. If she could get a good head start swinging, she could save some energy for running. Or, more likely, fighting.

And Gwen thought SHE had a busy night.

**********

Jessica
The thunderclaps increased as Jessica could finally see the wall on the horizon. Somehow it was even bigger than she imagined, although that probably shouldn't have been surprising. If you didn't want people going between domains - especially when one of them apparently had at least a few Spiders - a giant wall was probably a good idea.

She was even starting to think that she would make it, racing across the rooftops for a few more minutes.

Thrr
Just then, a lightning bolt hit in front of the wall, and Thrr charged through the air at Jessica. "Found you! You couldn't hide forever! I'm the best tracker of all the Thors!"

Jessica
"Well, aren't you a good dog?" Jessica swung towards a wall, sprung off toward Thrr, and flicked Thrr's hammer with her fingers to send her flipping over and past the massive dog. "But I really thought for sure I could manage it for another couple minutes," she called out as she shot another web to continue her swing.

Thrr
Thrr turned and threw his hammer as he grabbed a building corner to launch himself back towards Jessica.

Jessica
Jessica sensed the hammer behind her, so she webbed the nearest building and pulled herself towards it, turning at the last second to also snag the hammer with a thick webline. As the hammer flew past, the web stretched. And just as it started to turn to return to Thrr, Jessica stopped clinging to the building.

"Thanks for the slingshot!" Jessica called. Before Thrr could catch up to her, she landed on the giant border wall. Now ll she had to do was get over it.

Thrr
Thrr grabbed the hammer in mid-air and started spinning it. "You've done enough in defiance of God! Surrender. This is your final warning." As the hammer spun, lightning began sparking off of it. He was clearly taking time to generate a blast she wouldn't be able to dodge.

Spider-Gwen
That was when another web shot towards Thrr himself from behind, an attempt to yank him backwards.

"Pretty sure you can manage at least a couple more warnings," Spider-Woman greeted him.

Jessica
Jessica turned and fired a few web shots at Thrr's face. If Spider-Hoodie was going to help her out, Jessica was going to be nice enough to keep a Thor from seeing her. Or smelling her. "I'd really appreciate several more."

She turned back to look towards the top of the wall, fired a couple web lines up, and took a few steps down to prepare for a slingshot.

Thrr
"RRRF!" Thrr barked into the webbing. He was both eye-blind and nose-blind, being pulled back in mid-air, and he had a massive charge set. He still knew which direction was forward, though, so he pointed his hammer straight ahead and fired a lightning storm at the wall.

Spider-Gwen
Spider-Hoodie? Really?

Spider-Gwen, thank you very much, pulled on the webbing in order to try and swing him out of the way. "Pretty sure you don't wanna be doing that, guy..."

Jessica
Sorry, names weren't exactly exchanged and somebody had a hoodie costume. "I know I don't want him doing that!" Jessica shouted before launching herself. Between the slingshot and Gwen's intervention, Jessica shot upwards just ahead of the lightning striking the wall below her. A lot of dirt and debris was kicked up, but the wall could have withstood dozens of blasts like that.

"Get out of here, Spidey!"

Thrr
From the sound of it, Jessica was getting away. But as Thrr clawed at the webbing on his face with one hand, he launched himself toward the other voice - the closer voice that he could pinpoint better - hammer first. She wanted to pull him around on webs? Maybe she wouldn't like it so much if he got in close.

Spider-Gwen
"You, too!" Spider-Woman called back, letting go of Thrr's webbing- it was his now- and started scaling up the nearest building. "Good luck!"

Thrr
Finding that both his prey and the sneak attacker were gone, Thrr let himself drop to the ground, where he prayed for his partner to come. It was going to take forever to get all of this webbing out of his fur.

Jessica
At the top of the wall, Jessica looked at the next domain. By her research, she expected it to be something of a barren desert. What she saw in front of her was... something else. Forest, but... weird. Well, whatever it was, there was no going back. Whatever this weird world was, she had to commit to it now if she was going to reach Doom.
