I discovered Kiwi Co, an educational toy company, has not only a pair of knitting looms, but a knitting spool as well. It comes with two needs, stitch markers, a pick, and the spool. I'll have to x-post this to vintage_ads, but remember when infomercials were all the rage? Here's the 2000 infomercial for my knitting machine. Bond America no longer exists, but you can still buy the machines new or used. They are quirky, but once you get the hang of it, a handy helper to have!

I thought this was a neat video to share. Sometimes those Pinterest crafts look too good to be true! I learned the hard way that wool roving doesn't have structure years ago when I had to do a partner weaving project. Two people would start two projects on two looms and then swap. My partner used wool roving and it fell apart in the loom.
