1. There seems to be a lot of new mood theme LJs lately, which is great. My only problem is that some of them are using my instructions and .txt files (and sometimes everything down to my friggin userinfo) without credit, and it's pretty annoying. I have absolutely no problem with you linking to my mood theme instructions post, or even copying and ( Read more... )

Wasn't sure where exactly to ask this, certianly didn't want to ask in the request one. Sooo, is there a certain system you use to make mood themes? By that I mean - well, it takes me an hour just to get 4 done. And before even making them, it takes me hours to figure out which moments to use for only 75% of the moods. I just find it so difficult.. and you are able to do this over and over. I was just wondering if you had any tips/advice. :)

I've got some tips here, which basically says how I do it. I go through a gallery of caps and "right-click/open in a new window" a bunch of them, and then pick through them and crop/colour the ones I think are usable. Then I put them all in a .psd file, so each one has its own layer. I go back through more caps, do the same thing, and once I have about 50 images in the .psd, I assign them a mood. I have a wordpad file with just the list of moods in it, so I can bold/unbold each one as I save them ( ... )

That's great advice, thank you! What I did (and never finished) was write out all the moods, then as I went down the list, tried to see if there was a moment I think would fit. Then as I'd get the caps for those, I saw something to go with another mood. My problems were ocassionally changing a cap to another mood or finding I couldn't fix up some caps, therefore forcing myself to choose another moment. Making them pretty is definitely what takes up a good amount of time.

...if you want to finish the mood theme before you're 60.
Well, we all have our lifetime goals! ;)

Again, thank you. Really, it was a big help!!

Oh! Sark! I never make it in time to request, but if I were to request a mood theme, that's who I would request it of. I think it's great that you might actually make it! And Spyfamily ♥

I think you're simply amazing.
