Dear People Who Make MoodThemes and Use My Instructions,

Do me a favour. You know that I have no problem with you linking to my instructions post or using my instructions in your own post, but please remember to put the adminconsolescode.txt file in your zip. When you don't, I get comments asking where it is, as though I made the theme myself. You ( Read more... )

Wait, I don't get it. What does 80 40 mean?

That's the size in pixels. 80 pixels wide and 40 pixels high.

They're the dimensions of the moodicon -- if you don't change them to be the dimensions of your moodicon, the image will be distorted, because LJ will think it's 80x40 even if it's, say, 100x60.

This is, like, 5 years later, and this may well be irrelevant to you now, but perhaps someone else here has the same question.

The numbers 80 40 appear at the end of every line in the linked example adminconsolecodes.txt file. You have to either make sure that your images are all 80x40 pixels, or change the numbers in your copy of the file to be the real dimensions of the picture.

Once you have made sure that everything is OK, you include a copy of your version of that text file in the zip file with all the mood theme images.
