Because Artie needs some loving too! And when Puck demands he do his homework and kidnaps him for that purpose, Artie starts to realize that getting a rough-and-tumble in the name of mathematics is not the worst thing in the world, by far.
"It must be nice to have a place of your own," he says without thinking, and Puck chuckles.
"Yeah, the girls all say that," and Artie finds himself blushing for reasons entirely passing understanding. "Gets kinda warm in here in the summer, though," he continues, and Artie opens his mouth to protest that despite his sweater he isn't warm at all, but then Puck reaches down and loops his fingers into the hemline of his T-shirt and pulls it off, all in one smooth motion, and suddenly Artie is that bit too warm
