Of course. The kindergarden that they chose for it's price and location would also be the one where two local villians chose to drop their kid at. And of course, being villians, when a teacher had so much as commented that their son might have some bad habits to work on, they took this as a grave insult that needed immediate justice in the form of lasers and magic (he hated it when villians with different themes got together, it made things so much more complicated).
It had turned into a brawl, but it was winding down quickly, they hadn't come prepared for a fight and only had a few evil robots and conjured cronies up their sleeves. And of course, Zeke had taken the battle up to the roof, the kids had been evacuated but still, it was safer to fight on top of the building where no one could accidently stumble into the fray than to fight on the ground where people could get in the line of fire or be grabbed as hostages.
At least that's what he thought, as he threw a large chunk of metal at a robot heading for him, the robot moved to the side, only to lose balance and fall off the roof (another advantage) of course, with it gone, he got a clear view of where the projectile he had thrown was headed.
Right for Andria.
It shouldn't have been possible for her to get up there, true, she'd been flying lately but never more than a few feet...of course that was generally because her parents forbid her from flying too high for fear people would see her, but they'd always been so careful to teach her not to go around getting close to their superfights....
And Zeke told himself over and over for the next few seconds that it wasn't possible as he watched the hunk of metal he threw crush his daughters skull in.
Zekes face was fairly impassive, his mind reeling to comprehend exactly what had happened, he looked entirely unfazed. Untill he fell to his knees and started to vomit. He continued to vomit for about a minute, devolving into hacking gags and coughs for the next four after that.
There was silence on the roof, the two villians had stopped sending their cohorts after him (admitadly, they were all gone now) and remained quiet for a moment. And then there was laughter. Zeke threw his head back to look, and that bitch, that bitch of a mad scientist who's kid was still alive on the ground down there was laughing. Her husband looked somewhat shocked, he'd always been less of a hardcore villian than his wife, and it seemed the death of a small child wasn't something he handled as easily.
Not that that prevented Zeke from moving up from his spot kneeling on the cealing, and in one graceful movement, wrapping one strong hand around the mans neck and snapping it.
That made the bitch stop laughing.
A cry of rage and grief that Zeke ignored, laser fire he avoided, and he had picked her up by her neck as well. He threw her down, hard, hard enough to break through the roof and send her crashing down, with oncoherant rage she tried to summon more bots, anything, but the murderus superhero followed down the hole her body had made in teh roof, and stomped his foot on her chest- and then through it.
He didn't remember when he got to his knees and started to punch her, but he remembered when he stopped there wasn't anything left that could be considered a face, and the police who had been attracted by the fight were standing in a circle around him, guns cocked.
Whichever one was bravest stood forward, gulping audibally. "Primal, you've done a lot of good for the city over the years...but you're under arrest, for two counts of murd-"
Zeke made a sudden noise that sounded like a gutteral bark, from deep in his throat clearly meant to be a word, it was indecipherable, sounding as though it came from someone who hadn't spoken in years. The brave officer's voice shook as he spoke again "What?"
"Three," he croaked, "I said three"
