Why this must be read: In canon we never really see Gaara during that fragile period after Naruto shows him another path and before he finds his precious people. Every so often, a fic gives us a glimpse to what that time could be like, and this one is an excellent example. Told from Temari's and Kankurou's POVs, this story will grab you by the heart. Poor Gaara is trying so hard to show he cares, but he doesn't know how, his siblings are oblivious to his desire to change his relationship, and it's all just an emotional hopeless mess. Right?
