About this overview:

I tried my best to summarized the series in chronological order, but I'm afraid I might have missed some things. To get this out of the way-- there are spoilers. Lots of them. You've been warned. :D Um, for newbies... you should probably familiarize yourself with the series beforehand otherwise bits of what I say won't make ( Read more... )

Now, I'm not sure, but I think you have an extra 's' in mousapelli's name...or is it just me.

Hee~ I remember reading this last year..! Loved it then and still love it now ♥♥!

Ohohoh and rageprufrock's site is here, Inertia is here. She also had this complilation of AU oneshots -- called 19x19, I think -- but it's buried somewhere on her LJ ;;;;.

Psst, the two fanarts on your AkiHika gallery on the third page that you credited to Sora? Are really by felys_sho. And ohman, I am itching to help you credit all of the uncredited fanarts but that.... is going to take very long xD;;

Ahh, my link didn't work! *hastily edits!*

I honestly suck at this sort of thing. I'm leaving all the pimp posts to people like bookshop and darkeyedwolf. They're good at this sort of thing. I'm very good at messing up. :D

ajflsls I WAS GOING THROUGH EVERYTHING AND JUST REALIZED THAT ABOUT A MINUTE BEFORE YOU COMMENTED. *facepalms* Scrapbook is a mess sometimes-- I'm now trying to remember how to edit things. *WINS AT LIFE*

Hahaha, I remember zoesque and I were up all night trying to credit pictures. Fun times, fun times. I wish scrapbook had a commenting feature. That would be useful for times like these.

This is never confirmed, but it's a popular theory among the fanon that Hikaru's into sports; particularly soccer. This is probably due to a) soccer being a popular sport in Japan b) many fans of Hikaru no Go are also fans of another shounen manga, Whistle! and c) in one of the manga opening picture chapters, Hikaru is shown hugging a soccer ball.

The part where he is "into sports" is canon. In chapter 3, Akari wonders why Hikaru is no longer excelling at Physical Ed, his "specialty".

I - would offer coherency or whatevs, but SERIOUSLY YOU UPDATED THIS OMG AND I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO BEAT YOU TO GET YOU TO DO IT. *____*

Also this reminds me to de-crappify my fanart page thing. It kind of scares me to look at that post now. XD

But that was recent. Recent-ish. My original post was written a year go and oh, the shame. The shame.

(Who am I'm kidding? I got the motto "First you're ashamed and then you die" from you.)

After you get over your bout of incoherency, hit me up on my AIM and help me decrappify my horrendous grammar? You'd think I'd be able to write a paragraph without some sort of glaring error.

For example, "hit me up on my AIM". Since I totally own AIM. God. Zoe-- (I know you're refreshing Gmail like crazy) hit me up or I'm going to bed because I can't string two words together right now! (And that will be promising for our Secret HIKAGO ajfsllsls PROJECT right? ... Right?)

Hey, nice roundup! And I hadn't noticed the tights before! Probably because I was too busy hiding from Touya's scary sweaters.

[way too long]
Speaking of our favourite stalker... y'know, I'm not convinced that Touya's a more defensive player. Yes, he was freaked by Sai but he still sucked it up and played Hikaru at the Kaio tourney. And one could argue that Touya's game against the Oza was so aggressive only because Hikaru was watching, but YangHai-san comments at the Hokuto Cup about how surprised he is that Touya's so polite in person -- "since you couldn't tell from his kifus." (Obvie, this is just an interpretation, though!)

...But the way Touya pursues Hikaru across all 23 volumes seems to argue more for a fighter than not, ne? *adds $0.02 to pile* [/way too long]

*butts in*

Yeah, I would agree that Touya's a pretty aggressive player, actually. I can recall several characters mentioning how ruthless/aggressive he is in his play, too. Touya's main counter-attack seems to be just aggressively attacking - which is what he did against Zama Ouza, which I think is telling, since that's a match he went full-out on.

Hikaru's play always struck me as more, I guess, sneaky? Like those crazy-ass moves that only makes sense 30 moves later. So while Touya's all FIGHT-O, Hikaru is more experimentative and creative in his play - not to say that he's not inclined to being aggressive, but that he's more insiduous about it? If that makes any sense. XD

*butts out*

I think this may be one of the instances where I got canon and fanon mixed up. *edits again!*
