Sneezing and wheezing in I-Town
Hi friends, time for an update.
So for family, a few things. Shawn's birthday was this past week, he turned 24 (wow, the time has flown by). Shannan's birthday is in a few weeks (we share the same month) and I'm trying to put together her gifts to send away to college, I usually send her money, a music CD and a piece of jewelry, if you have any thoughts on gifts though I'd love the input, just let me know. Also this coming weekend my cousin Joey P. is getting married, Joey and his girlfriend have been living together for a while and have a son, so I'm happy to see that he's making the decision to settle down, it will be fun seeing all the relatives together, we've not done anything as a large extended family in a long, long time. Karen is getting ready for classes to start, I know she's spending time in her classroom prepping her room. That's about it for family.
For friends, I heard from Robert yesterday, he's dropping more hints about when he'll be back home, I know for sure that he'll be back in NY by the end of October/first part of November but I'm hoping to hear when he gets back to the states, then I think I can finally breath a little sigh of relief. Lynnie will be in NYS next weekend as well. And Bill also has classes begining this week, good luck, we had our freshman coming in last weekend and boy oh boy is it crazy in town.
Work, well, you know how that's going. Tons happening, I did work yesterday for several hours and today I'm going to work again but from home, I brought back some project work that I have to have completed by next Wednesday's AHR meeting, so that will be taking up some of the day. Also I have a lot of recruitment going on, I expect that my week will consist of meetings and a lot of interviews but we'll see, you would think with the holiday weekend approaching a lot of folks would be taking some time but unfortunately for me all of my units will be at full force which means that I'll be called upon a lot this week. Good thing I like my job. :)
As for me, I actually got 6.5 hours of sleep last night. Why? Because I felt like I was catching a cold and so I took a cold tablet and it knocked me out, which is a good thing because I got some significant rest. Unfortunately it didn't stop the cold and I awoke this morning to not only my continuing headache but a stuffy nose as well. I am supposed to go to a gathering this afternoon, I'm still going to try but right now its 50/50, it depends on how I feel later today.
So today will be finishing up laundry, then Mass, then working at home on my projects and trying to get control of this cold and headache so that I can go to the gathering later. In the meantime, I wish you each joy and love, happiness and health, and peace. Be well and safe. Take care.
