I was shocked to get a phone call Monday morning from one of my co-workers to tell me that her husband had collapsed at work. Very sad news to report. Cosmo died sometime within the last couple of days. For those who don't know, Cosmo was my hamster. He lived 2 1/2 years which is pretty good for a hamster. He had a good life and I hope he wasn't in pain when he passed on. He had been sick. I think he may have developed wet tail, but I'm not sure. He was going blind ( Read more... )

I just found out this morning that Jerry Orbach died yesterday. He was the, I believe, driving force of the original "Law and Order" series. He was truly my favorite character and was sad when he decided to leave the show last year, but had planned on starting a new "Law and Order" show this fall. He died of prostate cancer at 69.

I can't believe it. The last of the greats is gone. I just heard about an hour ago that Bob Hope passed away last night. He was one person I wanted to meet before his death.
