.we got the new truck, 1988 gmc, it may just be bullet proof. we would
not be afraid to take it across country if we needed to.
.the usual work, sleep, eat during the week. either the bosses decisions
are getting worse, or i'm experiencing some effects of burn out-a
vacation should tell me which one. though i have talked to a family
member who is qualified to tell me either and he at least agrees with the
first thought, didn't say anything of the second one.
.L and i went on vacation with her folks.
we saw the bat flight at carlsbad caverns, on a night where over 40,000
bats decided to make a show. it was fantastic but no cameras were
allowed as it throws off the bats.
we went to slaughter cave. this is a "strenous" tour that requires good
flashlights, balance, and shoes as you spend most all you time on a tril
made of bat shit and mud with a few rocks here and there. and there is a
"1/2 mile" hike up to the cave, which felt like they measured in a
straight line and then made the trial curve ovre the face of two
mountains:
then on the same day went through the natural enterance of carlsbad
caverns. didn't like it near as much as slaughter cave, it was to
structures with the views you got of the formations right after going
through the less people friendly one.that and her dad was trying to tell
me where to take the pictures from and slightly hurring us through:
the next day we were rushed through the el paso zoo(along with her dads
photography directions), so my pictures there didn't come out nearly as
well, we need to go back again sometime so i can try agian:
.other then that on the weekends we have been getting out of town and
driving alittle, pretending to fish alittle less, and enjoying movement
that isnt structured and timed. i do have a few more pictures, they are
still on the camera, may pull them off tomorrw-may be next weekend.
.got my weeks vacation planned for the middle of next month, gonna take
off to a lake in the middle of nm and hunt/fish/hibernate for awhile.
.got 2 vendor shows i'm signed up and paid for, one this month, one next.
then there are 2 that i'm looking at, one of them being 1800 old west
period style mercandise. someday i may have a full time home based
business.
