So I'm doing like the song says, and going west for a few weeks. I leave tomorrow for Vancouver, where I spend just shy of a week, then it's on to Edmonton for the weekend for a cousin's wedding (the reason for the whole trip) where I'll get to meet up with a bunch of family and family friends, then it's off to Jasper for the remainder of the week ( Read more... )

All you need to know about my trip back to Montreal on Monday: my route was St. John's -> Halifax -> Montreal, and the last time I saw my luggage was Monday afternoon in Toronto. I guess the fog made it hard to see my bag.

So London is going well. Just like almost everywhere else, I wish I had more time to spend there, though at least I'm getting about a full week. The biggest problem is that by the time I get up, get ready, feed the cat, feed myself, deal with dishes, go to "the shops" if needed, etc, etc, etc, I don't actually get to London until the early ( Read more... )

Er, yeah, so I managed to blast through France pretty quickly. After Barcelona, I stopped for a couple of nights in Bordeaux, which ended up being boring as I couldn't get myself to any wineyards and the city otherwise doesn't have much on the go. Just FYI, I'm not dead. Quite the opposite, really; so far my trip is off to a resounding success. I arrived in Heathrow with no troubles at all (somehow; this may be a record), and have been in Stansted Mountfitchet since.
