Puppies, puppies, puppies

I signed up with LJ months and months ago and have never gotten around to posting.  I'm going to get started today and see if I can manage to keep it going.

The puppies are all doing great and are too cute for words.

Euro's pups are really barking and squeaking and moving around much more today than yesterday.  They are about twelve days old and a couple of the eyes are opening.  After a rough start because of her c-section and waking up to find little squeaky toy aliens climbing all over her she has become a great mother.  The first night home (actually about 4:30am) we put her in the whelping box and she just stood over them drooling and staring at them.  Then she'd poke them with her nose and they wouldn't react so then she'd poke them again this time with closed teeth.  Needless to say she didn't get to spend the night with them.  Thankfully after about 36 hours and me holding her down and letting the pups nurse she figured it all out and she's great now.  I was lazy (didn't want to start bottle feeding another litter of pups) and let Envy nurse them a few times before we got Euro with the program.

Fleet's pups are cuter than cute fuzz balls and are super friendly and relaxed when you pick them up to play with them.  I'm sure that has to do with the fact that we supplemented them 2-3 times a day for 3 weeks with a bottle because Fleet didn't have much milk.  Fleet is a good mom and still nurses them even at almost 5 weeks old.  She will wrestle and play with them too.

Envy is super mom.  She cleans and watches and takes great care of her pups and wants to take care of all the other pups too.  Her pups are getting prettier each day and are very friendly.  They got to go outside the other day and climb all over Jaeleen and her family who came to visit.  There are a lot of different opinions on the color of the red dilute pup.  She's actually looking kind of orangish.  Kinda like a Brittany or Cavalier but lighter.  If that makes any sense.

I bought a new Canon HV30 video camera and will try to get it unpacked today and start taking some videos.  Photos are at my photography web site at www.dogsportphotos.com in the dogs gallery - Contact Point BC's.  Each litter has their own gallery.
