8.5 x 11...

I've been toying with the idea of trying 8.5 x 11 scrapbook pages for a while now, and l think l might give it a go during my work holidays.

With the inspiration of Cathy Zielski's Clean and Simple scrapbooking book and the one l got from the Scraploot Xmas party, l would like to try simple pages, the ones that are so basic, clean and neat, with minimal embellishments. The ones that get to the point, that tell the story, with only one photo.

Don't get me wrong, l LOVE making the complicated and messy layouts, the ones that take hours and are so busy and full of life. I think l will leave that style to special occassions, as well as gifts.

I do want to document my life, my work and my life with Michael. All the little things that don't seem that important at the time, but will be in the future.

I already have an idea for my first 8.5 x 11 layout. No idea how its going to look, but we'll see.

On other note l went to Vinnies yesterday with Michael (about 4 of them!) and got myself a big stack of old issues of my favourite scrapbooking magazine "Creating Keepsakes" for $1 each, two matching hot pink bowls for embellishments or whatever l feel like, they will look great up on a shelf. I also got a pretty glass jar for $1 as another storage idea.
