Scraploot's Xmas Party 2010

Dec 01, 2010 18:26

What a fun night it was! Roast dinner, secret santa, lot of lovely ladies!!

I dressed up with my reindeer antlers on, and sat with Chantal who, in true Chantal style was a dorkess with me!

We both worked on Christmas cards, and chatted all night - we didn't last until midnight though! We were both getting so tired!

I took in some lovely vintage keys from Tattered Angels as well as a pretty pink 6 x 6 paper pad for my kris kringle gift, and l was greatly surprised when l unwrapped mine, a book:

WOW! It was a kris kringle from scraploot themselves! I was so surprised! I was only just telling Chantal only a few minutes prior about loving the simple style of scrapbooking. I can't wait to read it!

Speaking of reading, l've been going through my supplies as of late, and l stumbled across my stack of books on scrapbooking. I thought to myself how much of a waste it is to not even read them, so, l did! I find a majority of my books are on the basics of scrapbooking, but l find that even though l'm well and truly past the basics, why not re-cap?

I am finding little shortcuts and hints and tips that l didn't know about before! The book l finished reading today is:

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Had a few things that l didn't know before, and others were more than obvious. But it is a good all-round book, for beginners and amatuers.
