Learn to Love the Pain

Nov 10, 2005 07:42

Well, the week was going great until last night. For some reason, something in my lower back/hip seized up and has placed me in quite a bit of pain. My bro tried to work it out with some massage and some stretches. It helped but not alot. So, I'm pretty stiff and gimpy this morning. I plan to take it REAL easy today because, well, I haven't been this messed up in awhile. I've been here before and I know the only thing that will help it is lots of rest. *sigh*

However, this will help in my plan today to kick off on my "modified" NaNoWriMo situation. Ya see, I didn't really know what the Hell NaNoWriMo wa all about until about November 7th. Being a bit too overconfident (who me?) I said that I would launch myself into the 50,000 word countdown. Heh. I came to my senses yesterday when I realized how much I was already behind and have decided, in true trickster fashion, to do it a slightly modified way. I did the math and it comes out to about 1,666 words a day over the month of November. So, I pro-rated it and if I start today, I will have a goal of 35,000 words by the end of the month.

My other trickster buddy, cihuacoatl, and I have both entered into an agreement that we would have 35,000 words done by the end of the month. Because what she wants to do is non-fiction, we opened that up for her to work on instead of it only being a fiction project. So, all you NaNoWriMo folks, the tricksters have arrived and, true to form, are doing their own thing. I think we should call it TriKiNaNoWriMo! Yes!!! Huzzah!!!

So, let the TriKiNaNoWriMo begin!!! 35,000 words by November 30th. Piece of cake...

And... uh.... let the painkillers begin!! Cause... damn... this hurts.
