since this is the single largest change/update/what-have-you I've ever made to my rather small, cozy f-list, I figured it was probably time to introduce myself, hey!

6.) as I've said earlier, working in a hagwon can be like working in a little bubble. I haven't been really able to befriend or date any Koreans, since I've arrived. note that if you are an English-speaking male, there may be Korean (and Japanese, and Chinese) girls lining up around the block to dance with you, date you, and sleep with you. if you are a short and cute foreign girl, I suppose some Korean men may even work up the nerve to approach you, but I'm not really sure on that, they might get flak from their buddies and foreign guys if they did. if you are 6'2" in heels, like me, don't hold your breath ;) part of this may be just that I'm going to the wrong places. Itaewon is absolutely full of foreigners all the time, and has a lot of US military too, you don't really want to go there at night unless you're with a big group for whatever reason. Hongdae has a trendy reputation and a lot of foreigners go there, too, along with Korean girls who want to hit on them, and Korean boys who want to be hip hop whatever. someone has suggested that I go up to Nowon to club, some weekend, as everyone is very friendly to foreigners, male or female, but then the girl who told me this is tiny, cute, looks Asian, and speaks enough Korean to squeak by, so her experience may be a little different.
