excited, nervous, broke
The repairs have been made, the well has been tested and we have locked in an interest rate for our mortgage. Now all we have to do is sit back, wait for the appraisal to take place and get ready to sign papers saying that we own a house!! We are shooting for a closing date of Aug 27 (which is good, seeing as how our lease on the apartment ends on the 31).
I won't lie- I'm a little nervous about how broke we are going to be. Kevin believes we can survive off of rice and beans if needed...as of now our budget looks like it will hold- with just a teensy bit of wiggle room if we need it. I'm really excited to be moving into our own home though. A wonderful 1200 sq ft home on a 1/3 acre lot NOT in a development and in a rural area. I thought that our first home would be in some housing development where our neighbors are less than ten feet away and our yard is the size of a parking spot. I'm excited that we found something in our price range that is more fitting to who we are. Yea!
