Woot, Super Bowl Sunday! Watched the game with Rob, Kathleen, Rob, and Shannon. Not the most exciting Super Bowl, but it's a good excuse to watch funny ads.
I got new sheets today! No longer do I sleep on a sleeping bag! I've been needing new sheets forever and I've just been too lazy to do anything about it. I got warm flannel ones so I'll be warmer during the cold Michigan nights we've been having. Maybe now I won't have to let the dog sleep in my bed just so I can keep warm.
Did the last bit of maintenance on my gaming computer over the past few days. Since I never boot it into Linux anymore, I wiped the Linux partition, and resized the WinXP partition to use the whole drive. Then I converted the WinXP partition from FAT32 to NTFS, and wiped lilo from the mbr. Finally, I defragged the whole thing. I dunno for sure, but it feels like it runs faster now.
Have played much Suikoden III lately. I've been trying to avoid using a game guide for this one, but it seems like I'm doing the wrong thing at every turn. Ah well, at least when I finish it, I'll have earned it.
I'm 90% sure I'm gonna buy one of the 12" Apple Powerbooks. First I have to wait for them to begin shipping, and then I have to wait another month. I have a contact who works at Apple who can get me 15% off with his employee discount, but he can't use his discount until a month after new equipment ships. Still, I'm looking forward to it. I haven't used MacOS since college, and MacOS X looks damn sexy. Also, it amuses me that Apple hasn't changed the font they use for their manuals, marketing campaigns, and websites since I owned my Apple //c many, many years ago. The //c was the first computer I owned, and I have many fond memories of writing both BASIC and 65C02 assembler programs for it. Thank God I don't have to program in a line editor anymore, though.
