Great outdoors, prepare yo self!
My dad is coming out to Chelsea soon to go ice fishing, and I've spent the past week gathering the necessary hardware for us to do so. I got an ice fishing pole and reel, an auger, and an ice skimmer. Sadly, the weather has warmed up so that the lakes aren't quite safe to go traipsing onto yet. I never thought I'd be wishing for the weather to get colder, but that's the case.
While at Cabela's buying ice fishing stuff, I also looked at handguns and archery equipment. Last fall I'd toyed with the idea of taking up archery, but now I'm torn between buying a bow and buying a handgun. The handgun would be a more social choice, since I have a fair amount of friends who like to go shooting. I'll have to think about it more before I buy anything.
Since moving, I'm become some sort of champion of the great outdoors. Or something. I blame it on living so close to Ted Nugent.
