lsat score and work

I got my LSAT score on Friday, a few days earlier than expected. I got 156 - 3 points higher than last time (and I think 11 percentile better than how I did last time). It's a point lower than I had hoped, but I'm not going to beat myself up over the score (unlike last year). I did have a few moments of "replaying the 9th inning" - wondering what I missed (did I miss lots of random guesses? Ones where I got it down to a 1 out of 2 or 3 choice, or did I think I got the questions right?) But, no point in worrying about it too much, hopefully I get into a law school. And if not, there's always grad school for sociology as an option =).

Saturday I went to the Stanfurd-ASU game. Wanted to see Derrick Hagan (ASU WR), Sam Keller (ASU QB), and see what happened when I wore UC Davis gear =P. I got tons of dirty looks for wearing Davis gear (ha ha), and had fun when I talked to some of Stanfurd's players after the game, especially JR Lemon, who I've known since freshman year (met him after some Furd games, and also talked to him during pre-game when they visited Washington). At one point, the Trees were up 45-14, ASU replaced their qb, and made it close, but ultimately lost 45-35. I was impressed with ASU coming back, and with the Trees putting up 45 points. Wasn't expecting that showing (frankly, I was thinking ASU would win somewhere in the 45-28 range). I made my way up to the cow town after, partied with Gerald and Ben on Saturday night, then woke up to see my beloved niners get their asses kicked. Heading up there for the weekend (BRODYS ShoW!!!!). And for once, I'll attend (at least part?) a Davis home game (it'll be home game #3 for me....in 2 years. And I've only sat through 1 full Davis home game. Hope this game is better played than the ones I've seen from them). Al gets the joy of bringing mom and dad home from the airport (I'll go back down on Sunday late afternoon or evening).

Today I found out that 2 of the 4 kids I teach for English Language Development twice a week aren't going to return after this week (no clue why). I'm a little wary regarding hours. As of now, I'll still be working there for 6 hours a week, but if that should change (either I get hours slashed or I get laid off) I think I have a solid backup plan. I wrote to the Score! center near my house, and within like 5 minutes of my email I got called from them. They want to hire me, the only question is availability. So we'll see. Hopefully it won't come to it, but at least I have a backup plan (unless someone gets hired in the meantime).

I'm hopefully going to Sharks practice tomorrow, provided it's open to the public. Hopefully can use the new digital camera (got it in the mail today!) and get some cool photos and autographs =).
