Started actively attempting to switch diet to gluten-free Tuesday night.
Tuesday:
chicken philly sandwich, fries (not GF)
rice pasta spaghetti with meatballs in vodka sauce
Wednesday:
lunch: Moes - steak x2, mushrooms, lettuce, rice, beans, cheese, sour cream
dinner: rice, chicken, broccoli, and cheese frozen dinner
lactose-free chocolate milk
Thursday:
lunch: Moes - chicken x2, lettuce, rice, beans, cheese, sour cream
dinner: leftover pizza toppings (tossed the crust), risotto (parmesan I think)
I also gave away my Kashi bars I had stashed at work so I wouldn't give in to them. I also need to go through the pantry and pull out everything that has wheat / gluten in it and make it go away.
Thankfully I have some GF foodstuffs showing up on Friday from Amazon to offset the pantry purge. I ordered most of it based on the reviews so hopefully most of it is decent to good. I also found that Amazon carries the brand of rice pasta I tried, Tinkyada. Sounds like an Asian company and the packaging seems like it to (has bunnies on it), but it's apparently Canadian. Has excellent review on Amazon, and my own experience with it was that it was good. Probably would have been better if I had cooked it a bit less though. Amazon is also cheaper than Whole Foods, so after I sample some of the other pasta types I'll probably be ordering some rice pasta from Amazon.
I love my Prime membership. For me it is well worth the $75 fee.

Saw the endocrinologist today. No major difference since the last visit, but I hadn't done anything about my diet until this week. I did mention that my hands and feet aren't cold as often as they used to be. He found that to be a significant difference. To help the process along I got a shot of testosterone in the butt. Surprisingly the shot itself didn't hurt. The bandaid removal later was unpleasant though.
Got topamax refill to assist with the morning wake-up issues. The combination of that plus melatonin seemed to work very well together until I ran out of my free sample and kept forgetting to call and ask for a new prescription. Definitely an off-label use for it but it worked.
Continuing with the same dose of the testim (topical testosterone), metformin, and thyroid. Get to see him again in two months at which point I'll likely be getting another shot in the butt. Need to get another blood workup done before then to see how the values have changed since the last tests. Blood draw does hurt, not looking forward to it. I also signed up for their nutrition class in August.
Going to start lowering my wellbutrin dosage next week. Dropping from 450mg to 300mg for a month or two to see how things go. Hopefully I won't get obnoxious headaches due to the change.

Oh, and had the old apartment cleaned today. Went by to check it out afterward, said hi to the nice lady who cleaned it, and then dropped off the keys and other stuff with the office. With that, I'm done with it. I may be getting back some of my security deposit, I don't know. I should probably schedule a time to do a final walk-through with them to get an idea but it's simply not worth the time to deal with it right now.
And now, to sleep.
