Mini Spree
Friday
Went to the credit union with my mother then we had lunch at BJ's. I was feeling nice (probably cause I just got paid, lol) so I boughht her lunch. She wanted to go to Mervyn's to make a payment but they're not accepting payments in-store!! How retarded!! Yes, we're filing for bankruptcy but we won't let you pay your bill. *eyeroll*
There was a sign at VS at said the pink undiez were 7 for $25, so I had to go check it out. Upon finding that none of the Pink styles were excluded I decided to take advantage. I kind of want to go get some more since my undie drawer is a bit out of date, lol.
I can't wait to go to the Mall of Louisiana to check out the Pink for LSU stuff, they only have it there and in a few stores in the surrounding area. (I've seen the UCLA stuff at a few VS's here.)
After that we walked down to this new eyebrow threading place that opened up by Macy's. I've been eyeing it since it opened but had resisted trying it because Mercy said threading hurt really bad. My brows were at defcon 5 though, so I gave it a whirl. It hurt but I can't say it hurt tons more then waxing or plucking. It was a bit more tender the next day but nothing that "beauty is pain" doesn't easily cover. =p The convenience of being able to go while at the mall is worth the $10.
After that we left the mall and I came home. My sister Marlene was in town for a conference so she came over after it was done. We ended up going to Puente Hills mall with my mom and then to Joey's house, mostly to visit Winston. =p I came home after and slept for a few hours before work.
Saturday
We were feeling uber lazy so we didn't do muc of anything. My sister Marlene's daughter Jenna had a cross country race with her school at Mt. Sac so they stopped by the house after. She ran 3 miles (on a hard course) in 23min I believe, she came in 26 out of 90something runners, not bad! I can't even run down the block.
At night we didn't feel like messing with the freeways or breathing the disgusting ash filled air so Mercy and I just visited my sister Marlo at work for a couple hours. I came home and talked to Blaise then fell asleep.
Sunday
Upon reading the Sunday circulars I saw that at Target all the Simpsons box sets Seasons 1-9 were on sale for 12.98!! That is a steal!! Though I wanted to get all the ones I didn't have I settled on just getting Seasons 7 and 8. Subsequently I talked Blaise into getting them too so now we watch the episodes together on the phone. :) Now I have seasons 5-9, I've been slow on collecting but with my job I hardly get a lot of downtime anyway..so I'll collect and savor slowly.
Yay!
From the time we walked into Target then left the air got SO bad. It was already bad when we entered but when we left it was unbearable, gah. Today (Monday) it was much clearer.
Monday
Got out of work, came home and watched some Simpsons eps with Blaise, then went to sleep. I woke up and started surfing the net. I went on Karmaloop.com to see if they had fixed the code fiasco from this weekend. (They had a code for free shipping AND 20% off posted on the main page of the site but it wasn't working!)
When I re-bought my Blackberry I got a $100 rebate from cingular, but it was a mail-in rebate. I waited about 6 weeks but it finally arrived last week. I hadn't really thought about using it until today when I *needed* to shop on Karmaloop. =p I'm really trying to save for my trip so I got to go on a mini spree yet not spend any money! weee.
Anyway, I had been wanting these Adidas reeaaly bad, now finally they're mine. =p
Adidas Decade Hi
I actually stalled on getting them a bit because I was torn between those shoes and these Harajuku Lovers sneakers. They were neck-n-neck but what sold me on the adidas in the end was the front view of the shoe, it makes the HL ones look a bit boring on comparison. =p
Since I was on a role I decided to hit up American Apparel to get rid of the remainder on the card. I've been on this lamé kick to my sisters dismay, lol. She's been able to stop me until now. =p I resisted the gold and silver and took a baby step with the black. (I REALLY want my zebra bodysuit but I'll wait til I get back from vacation.) I spent the remainder of my card on...
