Finishing the year right
Sam and I decided to end 2009 with a trip to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Friendly's in Sarasota.
After, what could be better than Ice Cream and Gardens, right?
Right as you exit the conservatory, is this
Followed by a Asian themed garden including this Gong
And a colorful water feature, including several waterfalls.
As we wandered along further, we came upon a mossed over statue surrounded by large Ficus trees.
Every year, Selby does a Christmas Tree out of Bromeliads, which are later auctioned of for charity. We were not too late to miss this year's arrangement.
Returning back towards the entrance is an Asian themed Sacred Cow.
As we made our way to leave, we caught sight of this fearsome fellow peering out from the tropical foliage.
