Its funny how everyone starts writing in livejournal as soon as we are all apart and lonely. I miss you guys! I am now starting to realize why I will never live in Coxsackie. Its a nice quaint place to visit BUT THERES NOTHING HERE.
I met up with an old friend from high school and we decided to go out for coffee and dessert on monday night. On monday nights almost every restaurant in the area in closed. we had to go to like 7 before we found one that was open. Even all the diners were closed. its just what people in this area do. It would never occur to anyone that by opening your restaurant on a monday when everyone else's is closed, could mean some real profit cause yours in the only one open. no one has caught on to this little possibility and so....we damn near had to drive to albany for a piece of pie!
Hanging out with my family has definitely got its ups and downs. I miss Doug. He's in CA visiting Benny. Weather's nicer there too. And I miss being held.
Today I took my grandmother shopping for new clothes. My grandparents have a comfortable amount of money. They aren't really rich, but they're pretty cozy. They didn't always have the money that they do, so my grandmother got used to living frugally. Now she won't let go of that lifestyle. Taking her shopping is this outlandish, knock-down, drag-out, penny-pinching nightmare!!! She fights over everything. I talked to my grandfather afterwards. Now that I know what size she is, he's just going to give me the gold card so I can go to town with it.
I went for a job interview on tuesday and I think it went really well. I'm going to find out about receiving my teaching certification. But in the meantime, this job will have to do.
