I love tigers. The only mistake is that tigers don't roar; lions do. Ligers (see the wikipedia entry on 'em if you've never heard of 'em: half-lion/half tiger) both roar and "chuff". I love ligers; they're like giant tigers!!! :-)

Tigers and lions both roar... lions just roar more often, and for longer periods.

Hearing that tiger roar/screech is a really horrifying sound. I was fine hearing it when I knew there was a cage separating us, but honestly it just froze my blood when I tried to let myself forget my safety.

I remember it from a few years back to the Toronto zoo, and it wasn't even really upset. :)
