Mostly Yarn Ramblings

Chicken wings are in the oven, getting crispy (hopefully) with the bbq sauce getting drier and deliciouser on top. Baked the wings for a bit first so that the bbq sauce would actually stick and will hopefully congeal a little. I like it when the sauce is halfway between wet and dry. Which might not make sense, but it does to me, so whatevs. I should probably make something to have with my wings since I really havent eaten much today, but meh. Maybe i'll have some ice cream or a root beer float after my wings, hehe. I did good and got the wing pieces, so dinner should be thoroughly delicious.
My room is toasty.
ZOMG so much new yarn came in today. 12 big repacks full, plus other boxes, I was in yarn heaven. It felt a bit like I had won the lottery. That would be almost as good as winning the actual money giving lottery. Only reason money would be better is because I have student loans and car payments. Otherwise, I'd take the yarn anytime. I'm pretty excited for the yarn reset, really. Michaels is branding their own yarn, called Loops and Threads, and honestly, the one skein i felt was pretty soft (100% acrylic). So if we have that at a low price, this could end up being a very, very good thing. Other treats in store? Stretch sock yarn year round! My store is incorporating Organic Cotton (already a staple in other stores). Couple of new colors of Homespun. A few new Red Heart colors, another row of Softee Chunky, including a lovely green, called fern. A boatload of Sugar and Cream (most of which is probably already part of other stores). A whole bunch of Softee Baby. Two new colors from Cotton Tots, but neither one is very nice. Two new colors for WETQ, not great, and one for WE which is okay. I'm really excited for the reset and hope that we'll start it early and that Peter will let me pretty much do it by myself (ohpleaseohpleaseohplease) cause i really wanna get the baskets out that dont hold the dividers securely. Cause they're jsut annoying and make the dept look sloppy.
My chicken was okay. Gotta work on the technique a bit. Prolly broil em a little next time.
I'm amazingly tired (big surprise) and I think I'm gonna go to bed soon. Tomorrow I think I'ma stay home in the morning and clean my room some (worked on it today and now its a big mess, but i wanna get my closets organized and stuff) and then I picked up a shift at work, so I'll have about 30 hours again this week, and ooh, I do believe we get paid. Awesome.
Anywho, I'm outtie for nowie.
Pizeace.
