Perhaps the Most Jumbled Post in the World...

This journal and I have a love-hate relationship. i tend to love it, then post. Hate it, then forget it even exists.

Now is the time when I remember ...

Normally, I begin these things with a life update. The basic know-how, how-to, low-down. For some reason, however, be it the season, the time of night, or my own emotional state of being, I'm feeling the need to just talk, ramble, and jot down some of these 'things' on my mind.

I've been thinking a lot recently about the inconsistency of life. One moment, you are flying high, the next, you are spending two years of your life holding out for something, whatever that something is. It's crazy. Life is this fleeting, ambiguous mass that we as people float around in on a constant quest for....well, for something.

It blows my mind.

And then you find something. You don't know what it is, or how you found it, or even if it will still be there when you wake up. But you jump. Or you think about it, and, eventually, you figure out if you're landing on your feet, or on your face.

And what's funny, really, is that while these 'things', these 'somethings' we find consume us, they are only a fraction of what makes us whole. They are one piece of our life.

I'm still working on the part where I have something deep and amazing to share about how to complete one's life in its entirety....

But why is it that we need that one piece more than others? Is it in our wiring? Is it in our soul? Is it intrinsic? Are all these things the same????
No matter what it is, I believe that 'something' is the backbone to why we are here. Is it important not because we can't live without it, but because of the support and happiness that a mutual love, appreciation, and respect brings. It's the reason people cling so passionatley to religion, and the reason 3/4 of everything ever written was about that subject.

So instead of running from it, being bitter towards it, or just plain ignoring it, why don't we embrace it? Embrace the love and support and care that comes from a friend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, or your family. If we don't then, what's the point?

Life is so much more fun when we don't go at it alone :)
