It barely takes a few rings for his boyfriend to pick his call up. Flicking the directional signal on, he cruises left, determined to do his part in propagating and participating in road safety.

"Yunho?"
He smiles a little at the familiar voice that comes across slightly breathless through the receiver.

"Hey, seems like I caught you," he follows helpfully when the Jaejoong doesn't continue.

"It's..." Jaejoong replies, and he frowns a little as he bites his lower lip in nerves at the concentration in his boyfriend's voice. The other's probably busy figuring out the time difference, subtracting fourteen hours from his watch.

"What are you doing?" He hurriedly cuts off, determined to distract the other from the attempt.
"It's..." Jaejoong tries again, and Yunho has an image of Jaejoong frowning at his fingers while pressing his phone against his shoulder.

"I had a long day filled with meetings as usual," he continues anyway as he shifts the phone in his clutch. The phone  is somehow already warm from the short use. "I had a meal fit for two at a random restaurant that Changmin picked out. I'm stuf-"

"It's four over there right?" Jaejoong's voice is low, and tentative as if unsure, but tinged with ominousity that makes him shiver. There's a short pause, and Yunho wonders if his lover was counting his fingers for the second time while waiting for a reply.

"Damn it, Yunho!" Jaejoong supplies the answer to his question with an angry yell. Yunho flinches at the palpable anger that the other doesn't even attempt to disguise.

"It's four and you're calling me because?”

"I wa-" he attempts to explain, but is impatiently cut off for the second time in their short conversation.
"How long did you sleep yesterday, Yunho?" He shifts uncomfortably at being chided, and he begins to regret his decision to call Jaejoong in the first place.

"Oh my god, I'm not even going to talk to you! You're going to sleep, and I'm going to be angry at you. You don't even know how mad I am, Yunho, and I don't want to talk to you today! Bye! " Before he can barely protest, there's an unapologetic dial tone in his ear indicating that Jaejoong had already hung up on him. A little frustrated and huffy, he slides the phone down as the screen lights up.

'I missed you,' he hastily types into their conversation before pressing enter, watching it load while desperately hoping that Jaejoong was still looking at his phone.

'I'm tired, and I wish that you were here with me.' He nods a little to himself as if agreeing with the words his fingers has conjured, the grasp of his phone already a little sticky from the nervousness at the cold shoulder he's being subjected to. He hopes that his words are enough to conjure a better mood from his lover.

'It'd be so much better if you were here.' He continues, and there's a spam on his side of the conversation. Slumping, he connects his head against the steering wheel in dejection, a loud sigh filling the small compartment.

'Obviously you'd be tired,' he hurriedly straightens at the vibration, his phone nearly slipping out of his fingers as he reads the simple reply over and over again obsessively.

'You're doing the whole 'best-employee-no-sleep' thing again.'

He smiles shamelessly at the screen. He wouldn't mind being scolded by Jaejoong forever. He just wishes that he could see how the anger has settled itself on the younger man, the way the other's soft pout remained unyielding in his aggravation, his eyes tinted dark, brows knitted; gloriously beautiful, bolded by the haphazard strokes of anger.

'It's your fault,' his fingers move on their own, the message going through before he can think of how sometimes he acts like a blatant martyr.
Yunho, meet tiger.

'I think I spoil you too much.'

Yunho releases a breath he didn't even know that he was holding.
'They don't have kimchi over here,' he jokes casually, and he wonders if Jaejoong gets the reference. They had made a batch of pickled vegetable the weekend before he left, and he wishes he had brought a tiny supply along for his business conference.

'Idiot.'
Yunho pouts happily to himself, no antagonism on his side from the jibe. He decides that he really likes this. Actually, 'really like' would be a complete understatement. He loves this whole real-time conversation with his Jaejoongie. It's been almost a week since he left for work, and the time difference between them's too big for a proper catch up, especially with Jaejoong's current timetable that's peppered with countless project meetups.

'I'll cook something special for you when you return.'

His satisfaction multiplies impossibly at the promise, and he presses the call button in a sudden high.
Oh Yunho, you so bold.

"Really?" The question shoots out of his mouth, and the lack of context throws the other off as he smiles to himself brightly at the short pause on the other end.

"Of course," Jaejoong replies coolly, and Yunho can't help but think about how good the other sounds even despite the obvious millisecond time lag from the calling app.
"Don't I always cook for you?"

"Not always," he replies unabashedly without missing a beat. "Definitely not for the past few days."

There it is. He presses his phone impossibly closer to his ear, desperate to implant Jaejoong's laughter into his brain. A little more heat, and the phone would probably melt into the side of his face easily with the pressure he's applying.
The other's hearty chuckle fills his ear, and he feels an ineffable happiness dancing in his chest, a resounding drumbeat that threatens to burst his heart apart.

"Idiot," Jaejoong chides again, his soft voice completely nullifying the sting of the word. The palpable fondness slides across his skin like silk.

"I love you," it gushes out of his mouth without precedence, with absolutely no forewarning, without any logical link to the prior sentence. But maybe that's how love works, hard to explain, completely ridiculous.
Matters of the mind and heart; impossible to be torn apart for individual situational analysis.

"I love you so much. I mean I don't ever forget how much I love you, but I think this distance's kind of reminding me of how much I actually do," he rambles on hurriedly, and Jaejoong's quiet breathing is the only sound on the other end as his mind spins a mile per second.

"I missed you too," it's halting, almost unintelligible, but a smile splits over his face as an image of a blushing Jaejoong surfaces in his mind. He remembers the way the boy had shielded his flushed face over dinner when he returned his countless confessions of affection for the first time.

"Jaejoong, say 'I love you too'." He coaches shamelessly, and there's a short silence while he taps his fingers on the dashboard. There's a saying somewhere that went like 'good things come to those who wait,' and he has became a pretty big advocate of it after meeting Jaejoong. Jaejoong was a really really good thing that he had waited his life for.

"I love you too, Yunho." Jaejoong's voice is swallowing itself, and it makes him chuckle ridiculously.

"Damn, you're adorable," he manages, his heart tipping impossibly with affection as his toes tingle with joy.

There's mutual silence, and Yunho wonders if their conversation was having the same effect on Jaejoong.

"Can I stay over when you return?" The other's words come out in a rush, as if terribly embarrassed of his audacity.

Yunho nods desperately, before remembering that it was a call. "I'd make you, even if you didn't ask." He's proud at his ability to pick out the satisfaction in the returned laughter.

"Today's Wednesday," he switches topic, his left hand shifting the clutch to drive. "Six thirty right now. Is your day over?"

There's a distracted hum, and Yunho idly remembers that their conversation hasn't been interrupted once.

"Returning back to your dorm?" He makes a quick guess and there's a light puff in his ear. He'd wager his phone, that Jaejoong had blown his bangs in idleness.

"Yeah. Dinner at the cafeteria with Yoochun and Junsu after this. My project meeting just ended when you called."

Yunho smiles involuntarily as he engages the clutch, the thought of Jaejoong's best friends amusing him.

"Is the hotel okay?" Jaejoong asks again, and he roll his eyes.
"I sent you pictures, didn't I?"
The first thing he did when he reached the hotel was to snap away before tucking himself in a corner to figure out the wireless connection while his close friend cum colleague Changmin grumbled on about adjoined lovers and disgusting over sized children while unpacking his own luggage with systematic efficiency.

He almost hears the stubborn pout, and his boyfriend's protest about 'the right to be concerned' sounds terribly like a whine to him.

"Are you wearing all black again?" He asks out of the blue, and there's a soft snort.

"How'd you know? It's the staple attire for spouses with demised husbands."
Yunho huffs in response.

"It's like you're dead, you know. Gotta get my mourning gear out to repel the other guys, or something. It works like that right? The ancient time thingy." Jaejoong continues nonchalantly, and Yunho marvels for the thousandth time at the multi-levelled dynamics of their relationship. Sappy confessions to bare faces jokes, before hopping to irrelevant ideas in a snap second.

"I think it was societal pressure to exclude the widow. Black was the color of sorrow and gloom, you know? It's like a mark of sorts," he supplies, only to receive a crazy laugh.

"But I look better in black! There'll be this unintentional counter effect that'll draw more bees over. Mark me sexy," he practically purrs into the phone with unabashed coyness.

"More like an intentional counter effect to draw the bees," he retorts, and he chuckles along to Jaejoong's incredulous laughter, a little pleased at his brand of humor that had successfully amused the other.

"Just restocking my arsenal of partners, boy toy. I need amusement while you're gone."

Yunho sniffs in playful unhappiness at the mirth in his lover's voice. It's doing them good, he's sure. The conversation, that is. He can hear the happiness in Jaejoong's voice, like a wide smile pressing against his ear that lifts him simultaneously.

"Then I suppose when I return I'll have to flock every single one of them that's warming your bed?" Jaejoong gives him a playful affirmative, and he sighs wanely.

"I guess then that'll leave me with a lot of things to do and less time to spend with you," he grumbles as he applies his brake lightly while he shifts a little right.

"Plus I'm a little tired from the long flight," he continues from the window, his finger still on the automated button as Jaejoong gapes at him, completely slack jawed, his phone still pressed against his ear.

"Oh my god." Jaejoong pronounces carefully, every word properly enunciated. His boyfriend's eyes are incredibly huge, and he notes how the other's shirt has white graphic prints at the front. That's technically not completely black, is it?
"Oh my god!"

The driver's door is pulled open, and he finds himself with a lap full of Jaejoong; then a mouthful of disgruntled Jaejoong within seconds.

It's hot, rough, desperate, and dizzyingly breathless. When Jaejoong pulls back, a angry hand knocks the wind out of his chest and he groans a little while his hands shamelessly wrap themselves around the other's waist.

"I love you too, Jaejoong," he jokes coolly, his demeanor barely revealing the crazy squeezing in his chest. Boy did Jaejoong look angry, and God, was it sexy.

"You cheater!" Jaejoong yells, while landing another hit to his arm. It hurt, but it'd be too obvious to remove his arm to rub at it. He instead holds the both hands down while upping his innocent expression.

"Surprise!" He attempts, his voice barely hitching at the end to convey the supposed happiness that's supposed to entail. It sounds impossibly lame, like a question. Like 'Happy Birthday' with a question mark attached behind it- completely screwed up.

"I didn't know, oh my god." His boyfriend pauses, as if gathering his thoughts. "I was so worried, and I felt so guilty because I was so glad that you weren't sleeping and that I could finally hear your voice, but oh my god." He struggles to lift his arm for another whack, but Yunho holds on desperately to save his own skin. Literally so.

"You're an asshole, you know that?" Jaejoong sniffs lightly before the leaning in to press his face into the crook of his neck as if winding down from a high.

Yunho begins after a soft sigh."The consensus was reached earlier than expected, and the whole thing kinda tapered off on its own. And I guess I wanted to surprise you," he murmurs lowly as he begins to trace idle circles on the back of his lover's neck.
"Did you like it?" He ventures with shameless audacity, kamikaze style. Tiger, meet walking meat.

"I didn't quite catch that," he pokes his boyfriend softly in the belly at the muffled reply he receives. There's nothing much to lose, he supposes.
The other sits up suddenly, and he finds himself catching for a split moment, the thought of how beautiful his lover was flashing across his mind. Completely inappropriate given the situation.

"I like it," Jaejoong begins, his voice inaudible, while his face pinks a little at the confession.
He watches the other blow his mused up hair away from his eyes lightly, the hair barely flopping, before returning to its original position lamely, nonetheless successfully distracting it's owner from his embarrassment. Yunho pushes it aside helpfully, desperately concealing his smile.

"I like that you're back early," Jaejoong repeats softly, as his fingers toy with the small hairs at the back of his neck fondly. It's hard to focus instead of pressing back against it while mewing like a satisfied cat.

"But don't you ever pull that again on me," he warns lowly, his eyes cold, brows resolute; his face eerily blank. Yunho blinks once, twice, before shoving the other in the belly with an eye roll.

The other slumps a little, with a loud sigh and palpable disappointment. "It's not from the lack of trying, I swear. But its like my serious face has lost it's effect."

Jaejoong leans in with something bearing close resemblance to resignation, and their noses almost touch. He can almost feel the other's light breath against his upper lip while he drinks in the sparkle in his younger lover's eyes.

"Welcome home, Yunho," his lover follows lightly, before ducking shyly as if embarrassed by the intensity of his boyfriend's gaze.

Pulling the other in, Yunho crushes his lips roughly onto the other's.
'I love you,' he wants to whisper, drunken in the other's autonomous, unapologetic presence. He draws his lover impossibly closer, his chest swelling in the love that feels like a shore of noisy, endlessly crashing waves. His lips move gently in conveyance, and he faintly thinks that there's a reply on his tongue that sounds a lot like his confession.

Smiling into the heat now, he finds another in return; wide, and incredibly head spinning.

A/N: Thank you for stopping by my absolutely pointless story.  I just love those saccharine sweet stories of snuggling Yunjae engaging in nothing save for loving each other, so I tend to churn out a lot of those (it's not obvious, I hope, haha).
I finally had the brains to ditch my other lame assed story that refused to budge, and this came up after this mega huge drought. I'm the face of efficiency and quality, yep.
Leave a comment! And did you see the really lame title? I'm making a whole production line of bad titles, yeahh.

ETA Note: OMG, I JUST EDITED IT LIKE MONTHSSS AFTER, AND IT'S SOOOO BAD, I JUST WANT TO APOLOGIZE AND DIE LIKE OMG, I'M SO SORRY FOR MAKING THEM 700 PEOPLE OR SO READ IT, it was soooo terribly embarrassing like wrong word use, additional words, incoherent sentences. /hides.
