I can't believe I never changed my location until now!
I have been away from LJ for a while. I hope I didn't miss any important news.
Yesterday I went to Santa Fe to see Barack Obama speak. The line was a mile long when we got there. After waiting many tens of minutes in the cold, we almost got to the front before they stopped letting anymore people in. The result was we could not get in to see him speak.
BUT
He came outside before his speech to welcome and apologize to everyone who didn't get in. It was nice because it was a smaller more intimate setting (if short and less important) and I was far closer to him than I would have been if I had gotten in. Course he was still about 50 feet away behind a mass of people. Today the Tribune had a great article saying why they are endorsing Obama
