Hi July, you're not ready to leave already?

This has been a fairly productive month :).

Started out the month with Independence Day celebrations on the 2nd July at the Balloon Fest in Lisle where we got an unexpected surprise of a performance by American English, which made up for the fact that the rest of the fest was quite lame this year :P. On the 4th, I had to work but got off at 2 so Greg and I were able to make the trip up to Arlington Heights to eat at Chin's Chinese Restaurant, see the Palatine fireworks (since they freakin moved the Arlington Park fireworks to the 3rd :|) and finally get to Frontier Days to see the 80s cover band Spazmatics.

The weekend after that we went back to Indy for the Famous Monsters con with our pal Marco from the Crypt Crew where Da Count spent most of Saturday walking around with his undies outside his pants care of Tom Berdinsk and the Italian Zombie Movie ;) lol. Got an interview with Bela Lugosi, Jr., hung out with a bunch of horror hosts including Dr. Sigmund Zoid (who kindly housed us for the weekend) and Midnite Masoleum. I also got compliments on my Guiness tshirt by Judith O'Dea from Night of the Living Dead and I could have totally gone for a pint with her if I had thought of offering...argh. Maybe next convention lol.

Annnnd...I finally got my health insurance and my 2 year pin from work!

work, conventions, music, horror hosts, celebrity stalking, famous monsters, 4th of july
