That Was The Two Weeks It Was...

Wow, I haven't updated in a minute :).

Well...the past couple weeks have been pretty decent. Saturday (9/15/07) we went to House Of Wah Sun for lunch, then stopped over by the Eli's Cheesecake Festival. We got there kind of late (4 pm) so most of the free samples were gone :( but we did sample an awesome pumpkin latte from the Starbucks truck. I also got there too late for the spinning of the prize wheel but I gave the girl who was helping out the sad face :( and she let me spin even tho I didn't fill out a form and not only that but she also cheated so I could win a free piece of cheesecake...bonus! And it was goooooood...Reese's Peanut Butter cheesecake slice! Hung out at Border's Bookstore afterwards til about nineish then went home for G. to change for work and I took him to work. Then on Sunday (9/16/07) we went back for more fun and good times at the Eli's Cheesecake Festival where we got some free samples of cheesecake, played cheesecake bingo (with different kinds of Eli's Cheesecake flavors instead of numbers), drank more pumpkin lattes and attended various cooking demonstrations including a cupcake that had buttercream icing SO sinful it was almost better than sex!!! And I have the recipe for it mwahahahaha!!! We both won $5 coupons off of $10 purchases so we ended up getting two HUGE cakes (carrot and cheesecake) plus a german chocolate cupcake, a big soft macaroon and a small bag of Halloween jelly beans for only $12.00!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, Monday thru Wednesday evening of the week was a blur ;). Last Thursday (9/20/07) we went again to House Of Wah Sun for lunch, then went to the Halloween store on Clybourn to browse. Greg found the talking life-size vampire figure he has been wanting so bad (Gemmy's "Count Vigor") since he saw one at Dr. Destruction's Halloween Party last year. I would love for him to get it but we just don't have the room in our place right now, barely have room for us :(. I think that I will let him get it as it would make him so happy and it's his birthday this coming weekend and I love him :) but damn we need some space in this house! Well anyhoo...afterwards we drove up to Niles to visit the Spirit store in Village Crossing Plaza. We were pleased to see that they had arranged more decorations in the front of the store making it look like a really cool haunted yard-like attraction. We browsed around some more, seeing stuff that wasn't out the first time we had been there. My goth, I wish we had a yard...or at least a balcony...we would have a bomb-ass Halloween display! Well we actually stayed in there so long we didn't get out until half an hour after the store actually closed...no one told us they were closing, but I still felt bad we held them up oh well. We went next door to Half-Price Books to browse a little, was pleased to find that they have used album cassettes for sale so I will come back at a later date to get some music for the car (no CD player, boo!). We decided that we were hungry afterwards so we went to Pita Inn for a late dinner. Now about Friday...I honestly don't remember what we did last Friday, my memory is going bad *sigh*. If I remember what we did I'll do an edit here but for now I am drawing a blank, hah. I think we did eat dinner at Pita Inn on Saturday nite, before taking G. to work and I slept all day on Sunday ahhhhhhh...

Well, this week I finally got around to depositing my last inhertiance check, not as much as I hoped but hey, lawyers and taxes need to get paid of course :P. I am thankful to get that money tho, it is muchly needed as I have maintenance to do on the car as well as get some badly needed new outfits for fall and winter. We ate at Pita Inn (AGAIN) and today we went back to Wah Sun for lunch with our friend Kevin aka Dr. Screwball (of Dr. Destruction's Crimson Theatre) and it was so good to see him again to catch up! He was SO nice to pick up the bill in honor of The Count's B-Day this weekend....thankee good Doctor!!! Afterwards we did a bit of Halloween shopping at Walgreens where I picked up this little guy, with his purple feet and orange wings....SO CUTE and I just HAD TO HAVE HIM!!!!!!! Talk about impulse shopping LOL!!!! More impulse shopping included orange and black gel pens for possibley writing out Halloween cards, yes we are so corny that way ;). Then in honor of the First Day Of Greg's Birfday-Palooza we drove down to Indiana to Majestic Star Casino in so that Greg could play the Munsters penny slots. We did OK, only lost about 36 bux but when we went to Resorts Casino a few miles away he ended up winning $20 more making our losses barely $25. Oh yeah...Majestic Star is our new casino of awesomeness!!! They had the games that every other casino seemed to get rid of, it was like the good ol days :).

I better get to bed, tomorrow nite is drinks and food at Goose Island Brewpub with some friends that we know from Legion's Den. This is shaping up to be a FUN weekend so it will probably be another week til I post another update hahaha ;).
