First Day of Spring Break...
Looks like I'm off to a good start! I took it easy for the most part this weekend - but into Sunday afternoon I was starting to feel antsy in the creativity department. I was at Michael's on Saturday, and discovered they have started stocking metal-working tools in the jewelry department. Michael's also accepts coupons from Joann's. 50% off FTW! I got a few tools and some 24-gauge sheet metal to experiment with.
This afternoon, I was feeling a little guilty for spending time thinking about new costumes, when I'd left my 18th quilted petticoat sitting in a corner, so I pulled it out and started working. So far today I've sewn the panels together, bound the hem, and added a facing to the waist band. I need to had binding to the side slits, and pleat it onto a waistband - hopefully this evening.
