I've gone 35+ years without any injury that required stitches. The baby made it less than 10 months. That's how it goes, I guess. Either that, or we're terrible parents. It's definitely 1 of the 2. He fell onto a toy cow yesterday with pointy horns. One of the horns gave him a cut on his cheek, which required 1 stitch. Well, chicks dig scars, right?
The injury didn't bother him at all. But, he really hated getting the stitch. It was funny listening to the doctor jump into a big explanation of all of the reasons why we shouldn't use anesthesia when we hadn't suggested using anesthesia. I guess he gets that a lot. "It's literally 1 stitch. You have to inject him to give him the anesthesia, so, he's getting poked once in either case." Yeah, I get it.
They put a band-aid over the stitch to protect it. I'm surprised that he doesn't pull at the band-aid. It's hard to tell if he even knows that it's there.
Oh and I guess I should resolve the baby's name. I leaked that I was going to use Littletorque and several people started calling him that. Upon further reflection, I decided that Maximumtorque probably fits him better. And it fits better with the naming convention. And Littletorque is too dopey.
