I bought a pattern today because it was pretty and inspired by Project Runway (shut up). I'm figuring out where to measure myself for it and Je-sus my boobs are a lot bigger than I thought they were. I wear a 38C, so I figure that's what they meant by bust measurement. Turns out they mean nipple-level, and at nipple-level my boobs are 45 inches around. What the fuck? This means I wear a size 22 in Simplicity's version of things. I'm going to console myself with the fact that Simplicity is clearly whacked about inches because I wear a size 16 thank you very fucking much. Ah, well, the pattern looks super cute and the fabric I got looks so pretty. And it was inspired by Project Runway! I think it's going to look good, so who cares what size it'll be. It's not like it's going to have a label telling someone else what number is.
I will update through the night on my shirt-making progress. Either things will go as planned, or I'll be drinking the rest of my brother's beer and smashing my sewing machine to bits. I should put some in the fridge right now just in case. Every time I tell Jamie that I want to make clothes she tells me that it's a lot harder than you would think. I think she thinks I'm incompetent sometimes D:
Speaking of Project Runway, I finally caught up on most of the episodes I missed, and Rami got robbed. I cannot believe they gave Chris such shit for being "costumey" and they gave Christian first place for using feathers. How is that NOT costumey? Poor Chris. Poor Rami.
I found some other projects online last night that I'm going to moon over and possibly never accomplish:
Shoe sole stamps--I don't like the heart shapes, but another shape would be good. I have some pretty patterns on the soles of my girlier shoes.
Way too expensive but awesome-looking rug made out of rope (and other materials). I doubt I'll do it, but maybe.
I love that
Richard and
Jennifer have essentially the same hair. They're the same age, too. They could be twins o.0 I like
Erik, I hope he goes far.
