I'm a firm believer in making love at first sight.

[...not quite but REPUTATION. UPHOLDING.]

Only if the partner in question isn't all for it. Otherwise, have at it.

Cut me some slack here. With looks and charm like this? I don't need to force myself on any woman.

I'm not talking about force, sir, definitely not like that. That's not an accusation one should ever make.

[He's just using less sleazy terms.]

Look, I'm all for one-night stands provided both parties aren't interested in investing anything further in the relationship, but the fairer sex just doesn't like to hear that kind of thing said so bluntly. Or at least, that's what my experience with them dictates.

And you're Mr. Experienced when it comes to the women, are you?

[Somehow he's not impressed.]

Not when it comes to romancing them, but when it comes to hearing what they say about men behind their backs.

Yup.

Women say lots of things. They say less of what they thinks and more of what they want you to hear. Don't believe everything you hear, Guy.

I think you misunderstand me. I'm talking about eavesdropping.

You've heard gossip about me?

Well yes, I've heard some. But I was referring more to in general.

You don't really think of women just as pretty pieces of meat to take to bed, do you? Because that's definitely the impression they have of you.

Let me lay some philosophy on you. Some might call me sleezy, but they've never met my old man. He's a lot like you. Charming, considerate, and the first to jump to defend a woman's honor. He's also a womanizer, could never stick to one relationship, and left a trail of unhappy ex-wives. He's also caused me a shit ton of trouble too from failing to mention some of his past conquests. Or hell, that we're even related.

I'm the genuine article. You may not like me, no big. Hell, women may not like me and that's their loss. What you see is what you get. I've been with a lot of women and hell, lots of them have been just one night of fantastic sex and that was the end of our relationship. Sometimes that's because it was what they wanted.

So I see women as people, ones who have something I want and maybe I have a little of what they want. For recreation. Maybe there will be more to it than that, who knows? I sure as hell ain't got a fear of commitment. But there's only so much pretending I'm willing to do so sell myself as their Prince ( ... )

...all right then, Mr. Genuine Article.

I definitely can't fault you for honesty. If you're honestly the type of man who sees people -women- as recreation, then more power to you. At least you aren't trying to trick any of them. I personally think it's better if women don't know how men think or what men want from them and as long as men respect their boundaries, everyone will be happy.

But just so you know, there's a big difference between your father and I, and that difference is that I can't have sex with women because I have gynophobia. So there's that.

Sex, man, sex. I could see men the same way, but frankly that's just not how I swing. But wouldn't you say concealing a man's intentions is an even nastier trick?

Damn, sucks to be you. [...] What's gynophobia?

Yes, but that's what the "respecting the boundaries" part is for. A guy is going to think about sex and want to have sex, there's no helping that. There's also no need to advertise it.

Besides, for both being people men and women are different. Two guys having a one night stand is not the same as a man and a woman, or even a woman and a woman. There's different feelings involved.

Gynophobia is when you're afraid to touch or be touched by women.
