There's an
article in the new Rolling Stone (on stands next week) about McCain that's fairly appalling. Granted, Rolling Stone doesn't seem like the most unbiased source out there, but it was still quite an eye-opener for me. For the last eight years, I'd heard quite a few people whose opinions I respected talk up McCain as a wholly different breed of Republican, one that would bring the party back to its roots. This article paints a very different picture, and decidedly unflattering one.
In other news, a
story on salon.com highlights Palin's relationship with several right wing radicals... something Dems might consider mentioning if 'Pubs keep harping on the tired old Ayers issue. Pot, kettle, etc.

In totally unrelated, non-political news - something they serve at Capitol Club makes me violently ill from the smell alone. I barely got out without projectile vomiting once people's food started to arrive. Eeesh, that was some putrid stinky shit. The nausea subsided once I got home, but I decided to call it a night. Anita, I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer, I hope your birthday was full of win!
