Texas Teens Increased Sex After Abstinence Program I don't understand why people think that encouraging abstinance only to teens instead of teaching them about safe-sex is a good idea. We all know that most law mkers were not abstinant until they married, why do they have to force their ideals on others, especially teens who won't listen to them anyways? I wouldn't be surprised if pregnancy and STD rates increased because the kids never learned the importance of using a condom. The lawmakers could at least comprimise and teach both sides to the children instead of wasting $150 million for nothing.
