GAME ENTRY 3 // "THE ELECTION" // NOV 5 - 11, 2007
Election Week has arrived, and it’s time to see who'll be running Cougar Ridge as the next Mayor - and who'll be keeping peace as the next Sheriff. Josh Barty may have no challengers in his role, but with his mind on murder and kidnapping everything could still unravel. So far nothing has came from the investigation into the abduction of Cole Jackson's young daughter Heather, but Josh still feels that there's a connection between this incident and a past case.
In the mayoral race, the incumbent Dale Thwaidey has been burned and assaulted, while his challengers seem to be thriving on the chaos; however, one must wonder are Marshall Teabow, Jared Caldwin or even Quinn Magners behind the Ridge's recent travails?
Faye McIntyre is dead, shot through the heart, and Amy Jenkinson is in police custody - but does she herself stand accused of the crime, or does she have a tale to spin regarding the true killer? What really happened in the woods on Hallowe'en night?"
Meanwhile, due to the extra security measures at Cougar Ridge High the auditions for the school play have been pushed back, but can now begin in earnest. Justine Terry and Helena Baxtor are going to have to find a way to get the students to focus on Shakespeare rather than other events going around them.
And elsewhere, Dashiell Pitt and Starre Jacoby are about to discover that the mysterious forces released from Room 13 of The Four Maples Motel may have some connection to what Noah and Evie have seen. The four of them will soon find themselves in bigger trouble then they could imagine - unless they pay heed to the warnings of Lea Drevnak...
