songs

Have any of you ever noticed how songs of different genres effect your flesh and emotions? seriously think about it. Like the firechoir at solid rock your pumped up and wanna dance, even during the slow songs, and almost every slow song people hit there knees, like a lot of people. Okay now contemporary stuff like on K love and at trenton first baptist (it may be different now, but when I was there) makes you wanna cry, almost every song, it makes you feel like your not worthy, your absolutely nothing, and kind of makes you whiney eveytime you pray. know what I mean? Then theres songs that are on the radio and not in the church that just make you feel content and happy, like in awe of everything.

Besides scriptural observance the difference between denominations is the music they play. Which SHOULD NOT influence the level of intimacy or "acts of god." But many baptists won't go to a non denominational church, why? Its "too wild" for them. Well whats the first thing they see? Worship, they hear the music, its not the contemporary sit there and feel like crap stuff their used to. The opposite is true of non denominational churches going to baptist churches. Thats one thing I loved about src, was the music was so different, and you don't say I so much but thats a different topic all together. The contemporary songs are all like o what i would do if, I worship you, I seek you, I I I. Which sometimes is okay, but when worshiping I prefer to say YHWH, your, you, the father. lol, refer to and speak to the one I'm worshipping. The firechoir still says I and stuff just not as much as contemporary artists. They like to say who is this god, creator, king of glory. Why? I would hope you know who he is if your worshipping him. I may just be ranting once again but I've thought a lot about songs and music and what you should and shouldn't listen to. I mean there are some christian songs and artists that are worse than secular songs and artists.

I'm not tryin to knock either of these genres just sayin what i've come to feel about em. I still listen to some songs and such from both groups, but usually insert my own verses and words into them. I dunno, scripture says sing a new song, how can you do that if your just repeating old ones? How can YOU worship YOUR creator and be intimate in doing so if your singing someone else's song? I mean if you were at a loss for words wouldn't He inspire you with a new song? I know He does me, and sometimes I wish He would do it when I'm at the computer or have a pen, lol, but I guess if they were meant to be written down He would let me remember them. lol.

Its crazy how simple things like chords and tempo can influence you so much, well your flesh anyway. If your actually worshipping you'll spin and jump and bow whenever YHWH tells you to, not with the crowd according to the right words in the song. hmm...
