Broadcloth & wigs/dye
So, I'm attempting to make a FMA cosplay for Anime Festival Orlando. Just had a question about fabric-in particular broadcloth. I have been suggested to use twill and something else I don't remember lol, but I also saw somewhere else someone's costume made of broadcloth. I know its cheaper price wise but how cheap is/can it be quality/appearance wise? How does it hold up-esp at a con? How thick/heavy is it? I live in FL peeps where it reaches eleventy billion degrees, and even spring has not been pleasant feeling recently! AFO is end of July-beg of august.
Also, any suggestions for a Roy Mustang wig? I'm looking for specific wigs (preferably not more than like $20-$30, though less is better!, but...dunno, I'll see) not necessarily where to buy wigs in gen (I've lurked enough on here and picked up a few things hee hee). I'm still trying to decide whether to get a wig anyway 'cause I was thinking about dyeing my hair and maybe getting a hair cut. My hair's not long, but its not as short as Roy's. Also I kinda don't want it that short, especially since I've been trying somewhat to grow my hair. (I was gonna cheat and do a Roy-esque bob though if I do get it cut) While I'm on dye-any suggestions for black dye? I've a problem with black because sometimes it can have a green, purple, blue, or brown tint to it. I want black black with no room for error with tint! Oh, hair dye that is lol. I don't care if its permanent or temporary as long as it doesn't run. I just want the right color. I was thinkin Manic Panic but I'm not very familiar with it. I know of it, but haven't personally used it or been aware of seeing it on someone else.
