Wow, LJ is quiet on the weekends, huh? I guess everyone else has a life.
I leave the Internet for a day or two and I miss everything: there's a new picture of Jensen in a mohawk for Ten Inch Hero. You've probably seen it by now,
this one? I must say, it's not what I expected...wasn't his hair supposed to be green, not blue? And it's really more of a fauxhawk than a real mohawk. Mohawks are more spiky and cover the whole head, not just the front. Those sideburns are something else too. So yeah, it's...indescribable. I'm not sure if I like it. Also, the fact that Jensen's character's name is Priestley somehow makes me think of Jason Priestley and imagining Brendan Walsh with a mohawk. I'll spare you the absurd mental image, but there you go, that's the random way my mind works...
Anyway, I know the film is being screened at a few festivals (which are too far away for me to go to, woe!), but after that, I hope it gets a wider release so I can see it. Even if goes straight to DVD, I guess that'd be okay. It looks like a fun movie (who wouldn't want to see a movie with a title like that?) and, come on, I'd watch Jensen reading the phone book.
Also? The clips for 'Hollywood Babylon' are up at the CW's site. There are three, yay! This episode looks so funny.
"And if we're lucky, we might even catch one of the show's stars..."
Ha ha, love the look Sam has when they say that and Dean's little thumbs up. So meta. And you know it must have been Sam's idea to go on a tour for that show, because he totally watches it, you know he does.
"We were just wondering if it could be a little brighter..."
And this is clearly a comment on everyone who thinks the show is so dark looking. Hey, I myself have found it too dark on occasion. But I get why it's like that, and the whole symbolism of it and the desaturated colours are unique, so I don't think I'd want it to be brighter. But if you compared it to, say, Smallville, which is really vivid (as befits a show about a comic book hero), Supernatural is practically at the opposite end of the spectrum.
"What's a PA?" "I think they're kind of like slaves."
Even I know a PA is a personal assistant. But yeah, they pretty much are slaves, from what I've heard. Paid slaves, but still slaves.
"They'll let anyone in this business."
Wonder if this is a joke about how Jared got discovered through a contest?
OMG, Dean crotch shot.
"Taquioto? They're wonderful." "No."
Sam gets this disgusted look on his face here, it's hilarious.
The whole thing looks like it's full of in jokes and shout outs and is made of awesome. Is it Thursday yet?
No?
