The Cycle Continues
So it's spring, which means I have a terrible urge to play FFXI. This crops up at least once a year around this time - I think it's the smell of spring. The heyday of FFXI for me was Spring 2004 - the windows were open, the smell of spring filled the apartment, and I spent all day charging around Vana'diel saving Tarutaru from the Shadow Lord or whatever. So this time of year always reminds me of that.
Possibly this is just a continuation of my pattern of regression - in WoW, I've gone back to basically playing the character I rolled in Beta (undead warlock, woo!), so the natural followup to that is to return to FFXI.
If I turn FFXI back on, I'll probably do what I always do; fiddle around, realize I have neither the time nor the social skills required to accomplish anything, and turn it back off. Maybe this time I'll bother to look for a linkshell.
Also, to verify that date, I checked back through my LJ archives. This thing goes back TEN YEARS. Have I really been posting to this thing for that long? Yikes.
