Near zero fossil fuel vegetables.
Today, I did what I have wanted to do all summer, I (and my sweetie) rode our bikes to the farm to pick up our CSA share of vegetables. Thus, the only possible fossil fuels that went into our dinner, will be delivery of seed to the farm, and possibly a little getting from one section of the farm to another.
Given the recent practice, and the optimization of the route, it wasn't too hard a ride. The only problem was the construction on Route 1, and trying to get back across it. B eventually had to have the construction flagman stop traffic.
