I never thought I'd say this but I have a decorating question for you all. Sort of.
I am trying to make my apartment a little more grown up while still staying true to my own style. As a result I've been getting frames to put around my various pieces of art and hang these on my walls.
The actual art I own is easy to decide on. I have three pieces from my friend, and professional artist, Paul. These three pieces are a portrait of me, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer sketch, and a portrait of Sickness from Jhonen Vasquez's excellent comic I Feel Sick.
I also intend to hang a few of my comics, most likely my signed copy of Lenore #1 and maybe one other that strikes my fancy.
My problem occurs when trying to fill the poster sized frame my brother purchased for me. He bought me two frames, one I used to hang my own portrait, and the other I intended to use to hang Sickness but it is smaller than I anticipated. Which leaves me a frame with nothing in it. I intend therefore to fill it with one of my other posters and I'd like your help in choosing which one.
Your choices are:
Austin Powers Goldmember.
Memento.
The Birthday Massacre. Not a movie. Also the poster is somewhat smaller than the frame, by a few inches on each side and I'd need to make one of those thingies you put inside a frame to block out the blank edges. you know like an inner frame thingy...
Constantine. This is thinner and longer than an average poster and I would therefore need a frame and need to cut off some at the top/bottom.
Other options include:
Making a collage of some of my smaller poster/pictures/thingies/etc..
Buying a new poster that is truly me, like Night of the Living Dead or Zombieland or Evil Dead.
Blowing up and printing off one of my novel covers that my friend Jamie has created for me. Those would be either...Drifts or Job Security.
So if you could please let me know your opinions as soon as possible, and if your opinions fall under other please be specific. Or if you have a thought of something I haven't covered here let me know in the comments.
