Damned: Tracking
DAY 54:
-( Awakening) For a moment he's in a bunch of legal drama, and then he's waking up in a mental hospital. What the hell is going on? Why do they think he's someone else? And why is he wearing a smiley face t-shirt!?
-( Breakfast with Renamon) Byrne learns about Landel's from one of the patients, Renamon. At first he's a little doubtful that her story is true. But current events and Renamon's knowledge of a name Byrne recognizes somehow makes her story so much more believable...
-(Shift 2, Rec Field and then the Sunroom with Ranulf) AKA 'WTF they tear gassed us?! WTF someone knows the Yatagarasu?! WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?!' Fortunately someone mostly sane is able to confirm Ren's story to Byrne.
-( Lunch with Gant) Of all the people to see in the institute...trauma FTW.
-(Shift 4, Greenhouse with Hijikata) In the midst of trying to figure everything out, Byrne meets another man who is just as new as he is.
-( Dinner) Byrne meets his roommate, Dr. McCoy.
DS54 Bulletin Posts:
-( During/post 2nd Shift) Byrne has a miniature heart attack over someone putting a Yatagarasu symbol on the board. And the rude asshole tells him off!
-( During 2nd Shift) Byrne is concerned about Renamon thanks to the food fight incident, but hears that she is okay, which alleviates his fears.
NIGHT 54:
After leaving his room, Byrne travels a little ways to the West Main Hallway. There he runs into Rei Ayanami, a young girl who is all by her lonesome. Parental concerns go into overdrive and Byrne insists on becoming her escort for the night, to which she agrees. And so the two travel to the East Main Hallway and ultimately end up in this hallway, where all the doctor's offices are. The doors are locked, but never fear! Byrne and his super awesome thiefy skills save the day and the pair break into the first doctor's office, belonging to Dr. Daedalus. Little do they realize they are not alone - a scorpion attacks them, stinging Byrne as he tries to protect Rei from harm. The pair dash back out to the East Wing, Hall A to recover, but don't get much of a chance to before the night ends.
DAY 55:
-( Breakfast with Ippo) Last morning was nothing compared to this. Scorpion wound, paranoia, military outfit, no nurses and oh, instead of getting to eat yummy pancakes, HE HAS TO CLEAN. Thrill. Well, at least the stupid smiley face t-shirts are gone!
-(Shift Two, Courtyard with Badd) ...+50000 trauma points?
-( Lunch with Rei) Forget about ever getting pancakes ever again...looks like it's nasty stale shit from now on. Well at least he gets reunited with Rei, even though she acts really...uh...crazy.
-(Shift Four, Showers and then Sun Room with Renamon) ...Forgetting about awkward shower time and stalking the bulletin board like a maniac, Byrne meets another person he's been meaning to speak with. And becomes more confused after he does so.
-( Dinner) Goddamnit PINK SLUDGE and why can't night come any faster argh.
DS55 Bulletin Posts:
-( Just before 2nd shift) Byrne leaves up a concerned note for Rei that isn't responded to.
-( Beginning of 4th shift, two separate notes) And now, two highly concerned notes - one for Kay and one for Badd. Badd responds in his usual grumpy fashion, but no one answers for Kay.
-( During 4th shift - responding to Zack Fair) That mention about death just caught the thief's attention, especially after Badd gave him the whole 'YOU ARE DEAD' speech.
-(READ ONLY... Lana's note to Badd) One of those 'lol Byrne stalks you' things. Unfortunately the date Lana mentioned just made him all the more confused.
NIGHT 55:
After leaving his room, Byrne gets mildly lost before he makes it to the meeting spot, which is the M-A Hallway in front of the bathrooms. He meets Badd here, and they, uh, have a little chat. Which means that they have drama, denial, angst, hair grabbing, and utter confusion. Also, subtle ho yay. ...Or maybe not so subtle. Anyway, after having eye-opening drama, the two retreat to Badd's room to talk privately. Byrne learns quite a bit before the night ends.
DAY 56:
-( Bus Ride to Doyleton) He's on a bus, motherfucker. And is quiet for once.
-(Early Morning, Main Street with Niikura Shou) Byrne meets a new person! And hopefully will learn a thing or two now that his mind's more open than it had been yesterday.
-(Noon, Lunch with Renamon) Apologies, round two.
-(Early Afternoon, Callahan's Grocery) To his extreme delight, Byrne finds a pack of Swiss rolls for $3 and promptly buys them. No thread due to hiatus.
-(Late Afternoon, Bookstore) Pretend he was in there. I was on hiatus.
-(Bus Ride Back) Eating Swiss rolls and being emo. Hiatusing again.
-(Dinner) Hiatusing yet again.

NIGHT 56:
Byrne begins his night nervously trying to find Badd. From his room, he makes it to Badd in one piece and then the two start exploring upstairs, mainly hanging around the East Wing, Hall A. Meanwhile, Badd continues his Tales From The Future(tm) and Byrne learns about Cohdopia's civil war and von Karma's arrest. Badd also makes a weapon out of a paper cutter blade they find in the Mail Room. The night ends just after Badd gets himself a paper cutter blade.
DAY 57:
-(Shift 1, Sun Room with Renamon) WTF, Landel is back? Anyway, meeting Renamon seems to be a daily occurrence now. So is being traumatized. Headaches, however, are a new thing it seems.
-( Brunch with Celty) Not happy Byrne is not happy. Anyone else being subjected to the pink gruel and also a worry wort about everything and its mother wouldn't be happy either. At least he's got someone to talk to?
-(Shift 3, Courtyard with Gren) Relaxing and talking and...not really knowing what to do with himself. Also really worried. Not the best combo for a man to have, really.
-(Shift 4, ???) He was having a bad headache again and decided to rest in the Sun Room until it went away. IOW, I was on hiatus.
-( DINNERDINnerdinner) Byrne gets a letter from his dear daughter (late since I was on hiatus during 4th shift). He kind of flips, but is able to talk about it with his roommate.

Since the thread never got finished, I'll explain the gist of it through what my mod and I came up with:
In short, the experiment itself will consist of an injection that will not only induce a frighteningly realistic hallucination, that the doctor has engineered expressly for Byrne for the duration of his M-U session, but will also bring about his lasting effects, which involve more of the same kinds of hallucinations except milder, shorter-lasting, random, and happening fairly occasionally.
The original hallucination leads Byrne to believe that Kay was re-captured by the Institute and brought back for the purposes of forcing him to witness her being tortured. The doctor uses this as an opportunity to belittle Byrne for his "poor parenting skills," claiming that he failed to instill proper discipline in such a "reckless" and "disobedient" young child and for fostering his own concept of vigilantism in her, that renders him a hypocrite to his own profession. The doctor then directs the hallucination to make it appear as though "Kay" is being forced to participate as a "learner" in a form of the Milgram experiment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment), whereupon the participants are made to believe that discipline is being taught through the negative reinforcement of electric shocks being delivered for disobedience. After Byrne has to endure watching this for some time, the doctor tells him that he can make this all end, only if he vows truthfully to forever renounce the Yatagarasu and to limit his scope for the quest of truth and justice to the courtroom, where it all belongs. In other words, Byrne is forced to choose between his principles and his daughter. Byrne ultimately chooses his daughter. Then the vision ends, and the doctor smugly asks him just how can he be a crusader of the truth... when he can no longer trust his own perceptions. Additional elements help drive home Byrne's moral dilemma that show up in the hallucination, such as the appearances of "Badd" and "von Karma." (Not to mention the doctor herself resembles Calisto Yew.)
DAY 58:
-( Breakfast with Badd) Sometimes you just need a hug. Lots of hugs. In this case, the feeling is mutual.
-(Shift 2, Showers and then Sun Room with Gren) Byrne starts getting over his emo a little more by having a conversation with a guy who has also gone through M-U before.
-( Lunch) Byrne refused to associate himself with others this shift, as he was still upset over things and needed some time to cool down.
-(Shift 4, Arts and Crafts with Locke) This has to be the dumbest shift ever. At least he's not the only one who thinks so!
-( Dinner) Posted late because hiatus. ^^;;
DS58 Bulletin Posts:
-( Just before breakfast) "BADDDDDDDDDD WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUU"
-( During third shift) Byrne remembers his encounter with Rei and asks for an apology over the board. Then someone unfortunately informs him that Rei is no longer in the institute...
-( Responding to Aigis) Byrne then informs another patient of Rei's condition, which greatly upsets her and leaves Byrne feeling kind of guilty.
-( Responding to Ippo) Figuring out about the drug trials.
-(READ ONLY... Badd's conversation with Javert) Oh, Badd.
-(READ ONLY... Meekins roll call) Derp.
-(READ ONLY... Military missions) Oh no. This is a cause for concern.
-( Just before dinner) Byrne learns that Badd had participated in the drug trials, to which the prosecutor IS VERY UPSET.
-( Responding to Gumshoe) Byrne was...really active on the bulletin board today! And also learns about Franziska.
NIGHT 58:
Byrne starts the night off trying to be as sickeningly optimistic as possible...but that quickly turns into complete and utter ragequit when he gets to Badd's room and learns that Badd had been abducted. Taking Badd's handgun, he runs to find his partner before he has to stop and catch his breath in the West Main Hallway. Gren finds him there and is able to offer some help, much to the prosecutor's relief. The two run upstairs to hear the intercom and then break into the Discplinary Therapy Corridor, where they are attacked by a spectre. They manage to escape, but Byrne is given a mark on his arm from the ghost.
DAY 59:
-( Breakfast with Niikura) In which Byrne accidentally tells another vigilante that he and Badd are vigilantes. GENIUS! Also the food is rotting?!
-(Shift 2, Library with Badd) In which Byrne tries to cheer up Badd, but instead gets his heart BRUTALLY RIPPED OPEN.
-( Lunch with Gren) Byrne becomes even more hysterical over the rotten food and a chill Gren must calm his ass down.
-(Shift 4, Sun Room with Renamon) Byrne and Ren discuss theories about the place. He also suffers from his M-U effects for the first time.
-( Dinner) Byrne finally snaps upon seeing the Institute give him back Badd's gun - and poor McCoy has to deal with his emo again.
DS59 Bulletin Posts:
-( Before breakfast) Two notes - one frantic one to Badd, one less frantic note to Gren. SORRY FOR LOSING YOUR GUN. ...NO IT'S NOT OKAY.

-( Responding to Lana's note) Byrne learns of Gant's death...and may also learn a few things about Gant that he didn't know before.
-( Maps from the bulletin board) Someone was kind enough to post rough maps of the Institute, which Byrne copied down into his journal.
-( Posted before dinner) A last ditch effort to talk to Badd before dinner. It fails.
NIGHT 59:
The most unusual start to the night causes Byrne to race like hell from his room to Badd's room, past much monster blood and gore. Unfortunately, the old detective is still avoiding him, so he isn't there. Byrne wanders out into the main hallway to think about where he could be...and is ambushed by one Renamon. Since Badd is nowhere to be found, Byrne agrees to go with Renamon on her errand run. He does not realize this will mean teleporting to Doyleton's T&M Electrionics. Needless to day, Byrne's head was royally screwed with all night. Anyway, the two went out to Main Street where Renamon showed her companion how easily she could kill zombies, then the two went into the Sheriff's Office, where Byrne pilfered some snack foods and a 17-bullet clip. A zombie attacks the pair as they are leaving, but Renamon takes care of it with the POWER PAW!! ...and Byrne was stunned. And then the night ended.
DAY 60:
-( Breakfast with Edgar) Landel's back for real this time and HOLYSHITWAFFLES.
-(Shift 2, Sun Room with Badd) In which trolling pays off. Maybe.
-(Shift 3, Library with Rei) OMG, REI. APOLOGIES. HAPPY.
-(Shift 4) Byrne got a stomachache and chilled in the Sun Room. No tag.
-(Dinner) Skipped this shift to focus on backtags...Byrne got busy writing notes in his journal.
