At last, time and weather allowed me to take my writing rig outdoors! The yard is hitting its peak of lush, extravagant beauty. I sat and marvelled amid the drifting fragrance of wisteria and white lilacs.

Whether I work indoors or outdoors, however, the question remains the same: where is it exactly that I think I'm going to sit?

These were taken over the pond at Lynx Hollow during Egil's. Definitely some of the best shots I've ever gotten with my crappy little camera. There was a very Maxfield Parrish sky going on, and it only lasted a few minutes.

Things I enjoyed on my walk from work ( Read more... )

1. Peter Gabriel's new world beat collaboration album "Big Blue Ball" has several good tracks; my favorite is "Habibe"--Natacha Atlas' gloriously sensual voice + relentless percussion track = electrifyingly sexy!

2. The smell of jasmine flowers blowing in through the office window is rapturous beyond all description or belief.

Hooray for crocuses! Hooray for violets! Hooray for signs of spring!

...aaaand, Jean-Luc has just come in with a tiny birdlet in his mouth, and now probably lost it under my bed. Yep, gotta love spring.
